We were having good weather and the long term forecast looked good we had quite a bit to protect. 27° tonight possible snow from 9pm to 1am . We put two small hoop frames up and almost everything is tucked inside. I have 4 Kale and 4 Cauliflower in a front yard bed I'll roll the dice on. I also checked the Farmers Almanac and 5/9 is our average last frost for Pennsylvania zone 6B. Even if I knew that I would have put everything out, it was so nice out. I feel good about our protection. I'll keep everything in the hoop frames until Thursday as Wednesday is listed as 36° and Thursday is 53° good luck to everyone.

Hello Gary. I have a question about cucumbers. I planted them inside a month ago. They have been growing nicely but now they are becoming yellow and also lighter shade of green. I don't know what happened...I gave them light dose of fish fertilizer. A week later I sprayed leaves with something called spray and grow. I had to add some baking soda to it because the direction said to add it if the solution doesn't turn yellow. I don't know whether I am perhaps watering them too much or it's something else?.
@MyFirstVegetableGarden4 жыл бұрын
Not sure whats going on. They should need baking soda or Spray and Grow. Fish emulsion and water soluble in the soil is all you need. I would give them some more fish emulsion and hope for the best. Great video!! I'm about 3 weeks out from being able to plant here in pennsylvania, but I went to our local garden store and they had some vegetables in stock and last year when I went I could hardly find anything! Even this year the shelves were rather scarce, so I just bought what I could, however I don't want him to stay in the containers and grow too big so I'm really debating putting them out this weekend, which would be May 1st, so I'm thinking I just may go ahead and take the chance and put them out and just try to put some containers on them if we do get a freeze warning. I don't know if you'll have time to respond to this, but I was wondering how cold is too cold to put a container on it? Will they die if it gets below the 30s if even if they are in a container? Thanks for the video and may Jesus greatly bless you!
