👇Are you an ISTP?👇 7 Signs That You're An ISTP Personality Type kzbin.info/www/bejne/epSYoXudmLKEp5o
@JohnDoe-pd4jo Жыл бұрын
One big mistake you made is that you said ISTP can be manipulative, that is a huge wrong. An ISTP would rather openly confront someone if they have to or outright avoid them, but we hate wasting energy on passive aggressive behavior and manipulation. It would counteract our straightforward nature. So an ISTP is the least likely to resort to manipulation out of all the types.

especially when it mentions "they manipulate others to achieve their goals". This doesn't fit.
@JohnDoe-pd4jo Жыл бұрын
@@TheHollowFlash-jo2ji right? ISTPs are LoneWolves by nature 😂. Such cap in that line. We actively prefer looking for ways to be independent and rarely feel the need to ask for help because Ti, Se and Ni as a combination keeps you grounded in reality and prepared for anything else that may happen, meaning that we almost always know what to do next, so manipulating someone for answers that you already have would be a complete waste of energy. Manipulation is actually something that FE doms would be good at. Not An Fe inferior. That would actually stress the heck out of us if we tried to go that route.

I had same thought today 😂 Most of the people does not understand, that being backed out is not always indicator of self destruction. We just need to gain a distance to think the situation throughly, before acting towards it.

P stands for perceiving. Also, not sure about that one about manipulation. I think it can seem like that if we don’t have a choice and people won’t listen to us, but I always make it clear what my goals are, what I want, etc. I don’t see it as manipulation if I’m doing what I have to do in an atypical way to achieve something when I’m openly and honestly verbal about what I’m doing at every opportunity.

Same me too. I rather speak my mind or not be around if I can’t. We prefer people who don’t wear their fragile ego on their sleeves or use it it to define their entire personality, it’s draining and a waste of time.

Had 2 ISTPs in my life romantically as an ENTP, the most frustrating dates of my life
@heetman12 Жыл бұрын

@tokarukora7272 Жыл бұрын
As an ISTP who is onesidedly in love with an ENTP, this makes me so sad.
@tokarukora7272 Жыл бұрын
@@heetman12 I can talk for myself: For my ENTP love interest I am too silent and not interested enough in wild discussions about theoretical things. It makes me so sad. He likes me very much and enjoys doing various things with me, but I do not spark his ENTP brain. (And this is especially hard given the fact that HE was the first to kiss me - a few months back.)

@@tokarukora7272 I feel like this describes the situation too well, ISTP seem to act so cold when you’re already in a relationship that it just get’s very confusing to me as an ENTP
@tokarukora7272 Жыл бұрын
And this is not due to me being too slow mentally. I am quite intelligent, and my 2 master degrees with distinction kind of prove that. But I just do not like to start those wild discussions and I need time to form my answers instead of pushing half raw thoughts out. When I say something, it has weight. But that is not ideal for an ENTP.
@allisvain123 Жыл бұрын
Being super stubborn is not bad if understood what is the reason behind it. You have your life, so you do what you do, I dont own you. I have my life, so I do what I do, YOU DONT OWN ME. As long as we ISTPs see a logical solution to something, we dont really give a rat's ass about your opinions.

You make us sound awful 💀
@PsychologyRefresh Жыл бұрын
Why?
@gjsxa9956 Жыл бұрын
@@PsychologyRefresh We aren't manipulative, and we don't purposefully create arguments for the sake of it but to put forth our logical standpoint instead of others and their self-analyzed perspectives. obviously, we don't want to always win every argument as we want to learn and understand another's standpoints, but if their standpoint is too emotionally driven, we will point out these things which might sensitize the topic for the other individual even more. Struggling with emotion, another topic you go over. We only struggle with emotion much, much earlier on in our lives as younger individuals because we don't understand why we are awkward or can't socialize with others as well. that's why we begin to develop a thinker's mindset to analyze what other people do, how they act, and in a way mimic what we see to fit in and socialize. We actually, if you are older, can in a way analyze emotions better than most other personality types as we see things from an outsider's viewpoint even in our own situations and we think if others would care, what others would see and how they would think about what you say. Its more an issue of acceptance of other people as we as humans, want to be accepted and want themselves to be likeable. and saying we are insensitive makes us seem heartless, when we in some ways are more heartful compared to others because we logically understand another person's standpoint. We aren't impatient, but don't want to feel useless or immobile because being confined or limited to creates boundaries which we don't want to be confined to. being bound to something restricts us to pursue what we enjoy or trying to discover what we enjoy immensely displeasures us as we want to have fun and enjoy the moment, not to purposefully "cause mass destruction" or "break free".
