Andrea Stephens It's not perfect though. If you are nearsighted, or have really bad astigmatism it apparently won't do anything for you, and you'll need reading glasses anyway. Plus, it only lasts about 20-25 years before your eyes start to revert, so wait until you're in your late 30's or 40s before you bother with it. I was told that by my eye doctor when I asked about laser surgery (tbh I'm too scared to get it done either way.)

To be honest braces never looked good in my opinion. In my country it's a trendy look lots of teens are getting, even not for teeth allignment improvement purposes. Unpleasant looking metal, dark spots and dirt all over your teeth, that's how it just looks like.

Although I'm really into kpop I've never ever really heard about aegyo sal. I know that this kind of "lazy eyes (?)" look is really popular in Korea but I didn't know that it has a name. Although most of the aegyo sals are either natural or done through make up.

I am not sure how valid it is to say that they are into kind of a "lazy eyes" look. Aegyo sal is when fat gathers under the eye in babies,(baby fat, just like chubby cheeks) Korean people like them because it makes them look more youthful and have a baby face. It's definitely not viewed as eye bags, or lazy looking eyes. In fact they believe it makes their eyes look brighter. eye bags go lower down the eye area, definitely do not look like aegyo sal. If you're referring to the puppy eyes look they do when putting the eyeliner going down, I guess you could call that kind of like a lazy eye look, but it's not to be confused with this. Also I read that the more Aegyo sal a person has, the slower their skin is degenerating, which means they age slower and will have less wrinkles as they get older.

You can achieve the look with makeup just make sure u conceal dark circles if you have. The use a pearl color add it close to your under eyelashes and then add brown by making a line on the bottom to make it pop.

As an Asian, the only trend that I would actually follow is the white skin one but still...I would never wear a "face-kini" In my opinion, Asians don't look as good as Westerners do with tans. Westerners have a bronze tinge to their skin when they tan, but Asians kind of look like they just went out and rolled on a pile a dirt after a tan. Asians in my opinion just look better with white, porcelain skin. heck, Asians are known for their porcelain skin. But yeah, other than that, all the other stuff is freaking weird. I KIND OF get the whole Aegyo Sal thing. Aegyo Sal literally translated from Korean pretty much means "cute fat" - meaning it's not really an eye-bag per se, but more like that fat under your eyes, and I noticed asians tend to have them naturally. I naturally have some fat under my eyes, and I think that is what really distinguishes my eyes from westerner's eyes

Natural Asian eyes are beautiful in my opinion. You do understand that the oldest civilizations aren't Chinese/Korean/Japanese, they are later, right before the American civilizations... Even the Peking man's eyes aren't really squinty (He's the ancestor of Chinese people) The eye shape developed because it possibly had some benefit in extreme cold, it acted as a layer of fat to keep the eyes warm, either that or because of the desert to the West of China to protect eyes from the sand, that is the current theory. At this point in time though there is no use for squinty eyes since we can control our envirnmental temperature, eventually the squinty eye will probably disappear as it is not used anymore

And theres nothing wrong with their teeth! Even the guys are! It doesnt even attracted at all.. ughh! Maybe you haven't even experience having braces. I, myself have braces and I got them from the Philippines. I have braces because my teeth were crooked but after 4-5 months, it became to be straight but I kept it on so my teeth won't fuck up again till my orthodontist says I'm ready to have my braces removed. It's not that they're using braces as a trend. Their teeth was probably crooked before you met them. It just becomes straight after the adjustments of the braces.

About the Aegyo Sal: I'm Japanese, but I'm also an Ulzzang (search that if you don't know what it is) and with me being an Ulzzang I was always cheking for the newest trends in the Ulzzang world, then when I saw that eye bags were super popular and considered cute in the Korean and Ulzzang fashion I went crazy, I wanted to have eye bags but I don't have any, and I have choosen to not do an surgical procedure because I just tought that I isn't THAT safe so I decided that I would use makeup to create the eye bag effect, then I told my mother about this and she was like: "What the hell?! Why do you want to have eye bags?!?! Eye bags are a signal of bad eating habits, lack of sleep, fatigue, dehydration, and fluid retention, and it also gives you a sick, tired, and old appearance. And after she told me that I gave up on trying to have eye bags. I'm still an Ulzzang but I don't have eye bags or try to imitate them with makeup. Who said that I can't be an Ulzzang without eye bags? ^^

Well, you should try to sleep well and early if you can prepare a Chamomile tea let it cool down a bit in the freezer, than use the bags and put them in your eyes, leave it for 10 or 15 minutes, then soak the bag in the tea and apply again. If it doesn't work try to eat more vegetables that contain minerals like: watercress, rucola or cauliflower. ^^

the aegyo sal aren't eye bags but tear bags...the eyebags are dark circles under the tear bags and the tear bag is the highlighted part...i use makeup to achieve this (i also had braces but that was because i had to pull a few teeth to get the rest to fit..i hated every minute of them) also the surgical mask is common in korea because of yellow dust.... it can be really bad for your health to breathe that in so koreans wear surgical masks alot of the time....and i like the cute designs...might as well have a cute one when you have to wear it anyways...

Awww!!!! I LOVE the last one. It should be a trend here in America! :D I also would get the lens-less glasses, and yes, maybe even the fake braces! :) Because I mean, wouldn't kinda be cool to decorate your teeth? I have friends who say that they always wanted braces when they were little, because they thought they looked cool... But then they got them, and they didn't like it because they are uncomfortable, inconvenient, and probably painful. So if you can get them without the pain, that is awesome! Just saying. :) I also think that the eye trends look kinda nice,I personally wouldn't get them, but I understand them, and it is really not as bad or wierd as lots of trends from different cultures. When I see videos from Asia, I do see a lot of people wearing surgical masks, and I always thought it was for protecting against germs, but now I know that that's not always the case. That trend doesn't make sense to me, but when I saw the designed ones, I thought they were pretty cool. But you know, that could just be my opinion. :)
