I've worked over an engineering service for Volkswagen in Osnabrück at XL1-project from 2013 to 2015. It was my best job i ever had and we all were a real good team. @@alliepetty1005 All Chrysler Turbine Cars were loaned not sold, they were also manufactured in Italy and Chrysler didn't want to pay the import duties because it was an experimental model and therefore agreed to demolish them at the end of the trial period, however Chrysler kept 2 for their museum, 6 were donated to museums and one went to Jay Leno's private collection.

The Peel P50 looks like one dangerous car almost flipping over going around curves an turning. I saw the Polaris Slingshot while driving to Daytona Beach, it was following me, I suddenly realized it was a three wheel car. I'm from Philadelphia and used to see the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile all the time , never got to see the inside though.

5:40 isetta was invented by Glas Motors in Dingolfing Germany. BMW only bought Glas Motors as Glas go Bankrupt. Only then it was a BMW Isetta.

The reasom the Peel P50 had no reverse is that the legislation at the time. If the vehicle was a below a certain weight, and no reverse it counted as a motorcycle and side car . thios meant an easier driving test, les sinsurance and road tax.

You forgot so many rediculous cars of the 50s, built in germany. Born in times, no one wantet to drive motocycles, better stay dry when rain falls. Kleinschnittger, Brütsch Mopetta, Lloyd are some of the names. Surch for them. Sorry for my bad english, scholl days are lon ago😊

dont like the Peel. XL1 is interesting. The GM cars were fun to look at. Jetsons The Issetta comes closer to what the Peel was trying to do, but more family friendly. I like the Modulo, but it looks like it breaks, easily. Jay Leno's baby. Im sorry this didn't catch on. Ive seen a couple of slingshots. I find them very interesting and look like they're fun to drive. The only problem I have with these little cars, is there is NO protection in the event of an accident. Especially at high speeds. Oscar Meyer Mobility! Id never want to drive one, though. Mercedes simplex. Retro race car. Toy, but a fun toy.

Mercedes needs to concentrate more on their quality control than concept cars. I owned an S-Class decades ago and it was built like a tank and I never had problems with it. The new Benz's are junk. German cars have really slipped in quality. VW's are nothing but problems, Audi's are hit or miss, and the only marque with mostly good quality across the board are BMW's, which will still cost an arm and leg to maintain. I gave up luxury cars years ago. They are just a waste of money.

It truly is stranger than any of the cars here. It was supposed to be safer than anything else on the road, but with only 1 built, that claim would be impossible to verify.
