Letting it rot away in the desert is just ridiculous. Even if it's not a movie car, they just treat it like trash. Friend of mine inquired about a VW Bus near me, but the guy wouldn't sell it because it used to be his dad's. The thing was loaded up with rotting trash, the bus itself was rotting away because it sank so low in the ground that the frame was almost touching the ground, it wasn't covered, even by trees, it just sat by the road in the Michigan sun and snow for decades. Eventually it disappeared. You could still see where it sat for a short while, huge stains on the ground from oil and other fluids. Obviously the guy didn't think to highly of his dad.

The Pontiac 6000 was the biggest competitor to the Taurus. Because Ford sponsored the movie providing the vehicles for the police, this was their dig at the 6000.

My guess is that Dead Ringer Collectibles used the Kojak 74’ Buick Century from the brand Corgi since it would be the closest model to a 4 door cutlass

Wow, good one, thought the SUX was a '00 model since RC supposed to take place in Y2K. Can you do one on the Taurus police car on RC?. On an side note can you do one on the Impala on "Live and Die in LA"?
@CarStarz42 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I always thought that too, but I guess RC was supposed to be set in 2043. You'd think they would of had some flying cars or something if it were that year, lol. I'll add that Impala to my mighty mega list, thanks 😉👍
@FrankTimms-cs5hl Жыл бұрын
The dashboard & steering wheel shot in one scene was a big clue it was a cutlass. If a *proper* Robocop remake was done today a Hummer H2 type of vehicle would fill the role of the SUX very well down to the crappy gas mileage🤣 Was hoping to see that in the bland reboot around 10 years ago but even the last generation Taurus never got much screen time. Movie was predictive as Detroit became a lawless crime plagued city & OCP became Amazon. Interesting fact-most of the actors from Robocop also were in the series “24”.

About the video game, if you like Robocop you’ll love this game. It’s just after the second movie (so it kind of functions to erase/replace the third) and is the continuation of the story that fans of the first 2 movies deserves and it’s the ultimate being Robocop experience is, outside of having your brain transplanted into a cyborg body for real
