Am gonna be dead honest. So I bought Jean Paul le male elixir a few days ago. It genuinely is by far the best fragrance this year. It's an actual masterpiece. And for the price when we think of a cost of living crisis in this world rn. It genuinely is my opinion the best. My girlfriend has done alot of naughty nice things whenever I wear it on date night 👀🤣.

Yeah, I dont understand why fragrance reviewers do that. Theyll pretend to be asking for a guests opinion on a fragrance, but the host will start giving their opinion on the fragrance first "Yeah, I think this smells great...it smells like xyz...wouldnt you give it a 9?". Like, wth is the point in asking for her opinion, if youre just going to influence her answer with your thoughts first?

Gisada Ambassador and Sauvage Elixir are really similar, Ambassador is a bit more fruity but for me are redundant, and i have both.

I have both gisada and savage elixir and they are not similar. theres only one note in The gisada that kinda smells similar but there not the same. I get a Christmas tree smell from savage and i get a clean unique dark fruit soup from gisada which if you apply it after the shower it is good. But savage is nuclear i use 3 sprays and people 6 ft away can smell it. And i was outside several times and i was told that they could smell me from 10 feet away and there was another time i was told the same from 16 ft away with savage elixir. I think it depends on the environment and the weather. I would wear savage elixir in a more professional setting since this fragrance demands power and gisada for more like a intimate date or something like that since it's a weaker fragrance but smells really good. But if you want do 1 to 2 spreys of savage elixir and 2 to 4 spreys of gisada then you have a power house.

I tested Layton two times, bought 10ml decants each time and I'm starting to think that I've received some other fragrances instead of Layton. I didn't like it, my wife neither, no compliments at all. I don't know what it is,but Layton is in my (unpopular) opinion - not great at all. What is it about it that people like so much? I just don't get it.

Hate it. Got a sample bottle and thought I'd spray it on before I went out. Didn't smell bad at first but started to develop and become stronger and it was soo awful. Kept getting whifs of it, smelled like dog farts. Literally SCRUBBED it off my arm when I got home. Never again.

@U.M. yeah I went twice over the winter time few months ago to macys to try so i can buy, both times I couldn't get into it, I will try it again in a few months when fall and winter comes back as we are starting summer here in Connecticut, I was hoping to add to collection but for that price, which I have 170 bottles of fragrances both niche and designer, I can get manceras for half that price and other fragrances, dior sauvage elixir is just not doing it for me.

I said the same thing a couple months ago. I tried it in a Sephora back in March and I hated it to the point that I went home just to wash it off and change clothes. I broke down and actually bought it two weeks ago. I tried it again in an ULTA and it smelled completely different. I actually liked it and then I bought it….yep Oddly, the first time I tried it the smell I got was “stinky spices”, the second time I tried it the smell was more like a fir tree in Christmas time. After that fir tree smell it gets sweet almost chocolatey on my skin and then it gets spicy but clean fresh spicy, nothing like the first time I smelled it. No idea what was up with the first tester I smelled in Sephora.
