Bought this for my youngest to develop basic form for single hand kettlebell work. kzbin.infoUgkxtaDAl93XF8wxJhssTtjIFjzid82wglva It has a nice grip on it, just a little rough so it isn't slippery. I was doing a few rotator cuff exercises to test and worked well for those movements I'd been doing with a regular dumbbell. Cool thing you can do is hold it in your hand for door-knob turns to work the forearm and grip. Note: it's small, almost all handle, but that's what I expected given the weight. Smallest I've worked with before is 15lbs, so it was kind of funny to see the difference 10lbs makes.

I just do what Pavel says...comrade. Still always open to tips, postural visualizations, etc. The jump to find your stance seems interesting. I've been adjusting with the goblet squat to find my natural footing. Maybe ease off the airhorn.

I searched this to find out if it's bad to not just let go on the last swing. I always do outside and I know it's better so the last thing my body remembers is that perfect lock, but it's hot out and I can't drop it on my floor and putting the brakes on at the end feels a bit...unnatural.

#6 I do feel the disconnect. I dig all day and am conditioned to bend my lower back to bend down once I'm fatigued, practically putting some hip flexors into atrophy. Having trouble keeping my left shoulder packed during getups, too. At least I'm aware and improve a little every day.

Great video Max and thank for sharing. I've been doing mine in the wrong shoes :) Question: for men over 40, what weight KB should we use? I have a 30lb KB that I usually swing for 30reps, 3-4 rounds as part of my full body routine.

Thanks this is an excellent problem solving video. I prefer the hard style swing and have a question re the arm position as you swing up to the top of your swing. Should arms be straight or should they as I think your showing be bent and closer to the body, and if so, whys that

Us too & glad this was helpful! We recommend arms remain slightly bent, otherwise we've observed elbow issues develop.

Obviously you were only willing to do the "too far" swing, unpacking your shoulders because you're super well-conditioned and know your body, but it was cringe-y to watch. Even if one doesn't end up injuring themselves, they're training their body/mind to make the shoulder vulnerable above the head, which could be really bad with presses, snatches, windmills, clean&jerk, etc. Not trying to tell you, I know you know, just commenting while continuing to grease that awful "looking at phone" posture. Great video!

I'm new. Really big fat guy. Been trying these for a few weeks. I'm guilty of 2 of these things that I'm having a very hard time fixing. Mainly the neutral spine. I just can't seem to keep a straight back. I need to fix my pre swing, which im getting better at. I'm just worried about back pain since I'm very"weight forward" with the fat on my body

Great video. Question: at the top of your Russian swing it looks like your arms stop lower than I would expect, and the elbows bend from there a bit to complete the swing. Is this correct, or should your arms be straight and all together to the top of the swing? I would think that this could put strain on the elbows. I'm asking because I'm still learning.

Pavel Tsatsouline states that your arms should be straight. There shouldn't be any disconnect at the elbow.

The wide stance is because people who just started using kettle bells or people with the fear of hitting their shins with the kettle bell is why their stance is so wide.

Whoever did the subtitles has a wry sense of humor, e.g. at 12:35, "your're not doing a proper movement for Greg." Who is Greg and what does he know anyway?
