To this address reading off-script they don't know anything about any of this s*** and they get a lot of it wrong. In one video about Hellraiser they were talking about the Duke de Lisle, which is pronounced "deh lyle" and the narrator kept saying "deh liss-al"...and not one producer or editor or script editor told the guy he was saying it wrong. That happens in almost every video

First off, thanks for this one as Colonel Nick Fury is (and remains) one of my all time fave Marvel heroes. And this centered on the E616 Nick Fury, NOT the Ultimate version as well. Nice. Remember, Col. Fury IS a spy, and at times would have to do things either out of the box or of questionable nature. Its no different from what James Bond, James Phelps (or Ethan Hunt), James West , or Tom Clancy’s John Clark may have to do in the course of a mission.

That scene you mentioned personally offended Stan Lee himself; the only reason the miniseries away with that was due to My War Went By was under Marvel’s MAX line. It was also one reason George Clooney didn’t take the Nick Fury role for the MCU. He would’ve looked the part as well.

I think with the existence of the MARVEL Multiverse, it is possible that there are a few alternate versions of (NICK FURY) who are evil, and I imagine each one exists in different dimensional realms. In addition I imagine that each one has done many different types of horrible deeds in their own realms.

Techincally speaking with Fury bringing back Coulson, He didn't put him in a robot body. He used kree mutigen to revive Coulson, which lead to his symbol dreams in season 2. This alien substance was destroyed at the end of season 4 when he made his pact with Ghost Rider. He got a robot arm at the beginning of season 3.

The Marvel Ultimates comic book line, was set in a parallel universe. Marvel created it in the early 2000s, to be more "edgy" (read, "made for mature audiences"). They started with the Ultimates title (that universe's equivalent of the Avengers); then they created an Ultimate X-Men title, an Ultimate Spiderman title...etc. It had a run for several years, but most fans agree that the Ultimate line, was VERY bad. Samuel L Jackson was pretty popular at the time, so they decided that in the Ultimate universe, Nick Fury would look, talk, and act, just like him. The White Nick Fury, is the first, and only, real one. If you want to see a more faithful movie adaptation, you should watch the '90s Nick Fury: Agent of Shield movie. FOX made it as a made-for TV, movie in 1998; so it's a bit cheesy, and of course, the CGI effects don't stand up to today's standards, but I loved it. I got my copy bootleg at a convention, yeeears ago, but you can also find it on KZbin.

But sometimes she isnt evil and is trying to get the suicide squad to do the right thing through blackmail and manipulation, which in the suicide squad stories ALWAYS makes her the antagonist, so that is why she is percieved as a villain imo. Shes rather shady and will do anything if it benefits her department in the US gov, or because shes seen as a antagonist by the protagonists (even if the protagonists are the evil ones).

…One has to wonder how much 'research' actually goes into these… Using the Tesseract to make weapons wasn’t actually Fury's plan. That was mostly decided by the… I guess Board of Directors, as a way of protecting themselves since things keep happening, from villains who regular humans really can’t match. Nick's plan for that was the Avengers Initiative. Hence why Fury didn’t do anything to even try to stop Thor taking the Tesseract.

WhatCulture need to be more clear about whether they're referring to the comicbook, TV, Cinematic or videogame versions of characters. Case in point, the "Phil Coulson" who died in the 2012 "Avengers (Assemble)" movie was then fully resurrected as a human using Kree technology for the TV series "(Marvel's) Agents of SHIELD." I'm guessing the "Phil Coulson" who was replaced by an LMD with fake memories of the demised agent was in the comicbooks? That being said, for the final season of AoS, I believe* Coulson was indeed a LMD with false memories. (* I had given up on the show by then).
