Hi to all my born again brothers and sisters in Christ as a man with cerebral palsy I look forward to the day when I see Jesus Christ face to face and he says to me run to to me and I run with no help in front of all believers it makes me weep at times please never ever take for granted that many of you can walk normally without the aids of walkers or plastic leg braces or weak legs at the same time God is using what I have for His sovereign purpose.

Here's my testimony. I was baptized many years ago but I was not Born Again I was part of the world then I was into politics and Mormon Glenn Beck was my idol but I now know the truth about Glenn Beck and Mormonism. I am a former Freemason God brought me out of Freemasonry and in 2014 I watched Pastor Greg Laurie California Harvest Crusade and I realize now I was a sinner in need of a Savior I prayed the prayer he offered and now I made a recommitment to follow Jesus Christ but I know that’s when I was truly Born Again and I know the prayer I prayed didn’t save me Jesus saved me. Now I am indwelt with the Holy Spirit He helps me understand the Word of God when I read it. I love being in church and around other Believers. I’m going to heaven not based on anything I have done or being a good person but because of what Jesus did for me dying on the cross and rising from the dead 3 days later. I am saved by grace through faith alone in Christ Alone! I know were I was I was into Freemasonry taking God’s name in vain and horoscopes and Harry Potter and many other things before I was Born Again and those things I did before I was Born Again were and are demonic. But I know where I am now I know God and am in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ Who is my Savior and Lord of my life I have passed from Spiritual death to Spiritual Life from Hell to Heaven and am indewlt with The Holy Spirit and am covered By The Blood of Jesus Christ.

I think people truly underestimate the damage these false teachers do when talking about sickness. I have a disease that has fused my neck, back and chest, caused the loss of my bladder and a recent heart attack along with several other maladies. When I first came to the Lord at age 41 one of these false teachers told me my illness was a result of a generational curse, and my apparent lack of faith. Being a new believer this really caused me emotional distress for quite awhile. Now I know this was all a lie from the pit of hell, and my sickness had nothing to do with unbelief, my father, or any other mumbo jumbo. Knowing your bible, finding a solid bible believing church and surrounding yourself with people who love the Lord is the best medicine you can find to counter these charlatans. God has a purpose for everyone of us healthy or sick, and we can use our sickness to glorify God. Look up someone like Justin Peters and see how this man uses his disabilty for the glory of God, and not to cause people emotional harm. Thank you Polite Leader for your ongoing efforts to show these false teachers for the heretical men & women they are.

In the early 2000's, and new to my faith, I joined a word of faith church. Shortly thereafter I was diagnosed as infertile. I left a year later, and almost walked away from Christianity. According to my church at the time, I didn't have enough faith, didn't tithe enough, didn't serve enough, didn't DO enough to "get God's promise of a baby". I was always at fault. I appreciate your channel so much, because I've been learning so much about God's love for me, and that so much of the Bible gets twisted in order to let people hear what they want to hear, or coerce them into giving in order to receive their miracle.

Amy Reynolds I am sorry to hear of that diagnosis. When I was 26, I had an ovarian cyst, but the doctor who operated on me took out both ovaries and the uterus without my permission. I am the oldest of a family of 8 and always pictured myself with a house full of kids. What made all that worse was that I had previously committed the most horrible act by having an abortion a few years before. So I thought I deserved what happened to me. NOT TRUE when in Christ Jesus. Fast forward 12 years--- I adopted an absolutely beautiful baby in another state, watched the birth, cut the cord, and brought her home. She just turned 28, and is my best friend, and she also blessed me with my first grandchild so far. I’m just sharing this with anyone who feels like giving up. You never know how things will ever get better sometimes, but He will heal your brokenness when you surrender all of it.

Baby Mama Jesus never told us to pray for them but to heal them. Read Acts 3 and see how saint Peter dealt with that man that was at the temple gate called beautiful. He took his believers authority and the man was healed. Mark 16:17 says the believer will lay hands on the sick and they will recover. We as believers are joint heirs with Christ Romans 8:17. We were commanded to heal the sick and people are asking God to do the work that Jesus has asked us to do. Jesus said that we who believe will do the same works as he did and greater works because he is with the Father John 14:12. Watch videos on youtube by Tom Loud who has many healing videos. I am learning lots from him and I’m now seeing great miracles of healing. The disciples were three long years with Jesus learning about healing and preaching the gospel. I'm a Hindu convert from India, and ever since my conversion, pastor Andrew wommack's teachings have had a positive impact on my Christian life. I understand that most of you disagree with Andrew primarily on two things- one, his deficient view on the sovereignty of God, and two, on his view that physical healing is included in Christ's atonement. But I think it's not right to indict him as false teacher or heretic, regardless of your views on those two matters. I accepted Christ in my teens and pastor Andrew's message helped me understand what salvation was and to truly appreciate the extent of God's grace. His exposition on the book of Romans in a message series titled "whose righteousness" further revealed to me the shallowness in the Hindu worldview of Karma (work's righteousness), and the depth in pauline epistles. KZbin has made Christian messages kind of easy to access now, but back in 2005 Andrew was one of the very few preachers that made his resources available for free in his website. I remember eagerly listening to his five part audio sermon called "self centeredness- the source of all grief". Everytime I fell into temptation, I doubled down on this particular teaching which taught me that denying self is an everyday process and each minute of everyday I'll have opportunities to serve flesh and deny God, and the secret of victorious Christian life is in becoming the living sacrifice that God demands. I also benefitted a lot from Andrew's preaching titled "Discipleship evangelism" that showed the difference between a convert and a disciple; and being a disciple of Christ is much more than an emotional conversion experience, but leads to maturity and fruits in one's life. I then realized what Jesus meant by "go and make disciples". And in the message series "As I loved you", that deals with one of the last commandments of Jesus to his disciples, I was particularly touched by Andrew's teaching on how we can show God's love to someone regardless of whether we like them or not, and why "Love" is one of the distinguishing attributes of a Christian. So, I honestly do not know, but may be because the fundamentals of our faith are familiar to most of you, having born and brought up in Christian majority countries that you are now focussing on points of doctrines and theology that seperates believers. But for me, all of these teachings were so radical and mindblowing, and had a tangible impact on the pertinent questions of my life, that I have come to respect Andrew wommack now; and more than anything praise and thank God for extending the gift of salvation to me and my family. So, whatever the differences are Pastor Andrew preaches the same core tenets of the gospel and Christianity, and listening to him can definitely help someone get saved and lead a meaningful christian life, and according to me, he is no heretic or false teacher. On an other note, to the question of God's foreknowledge and predestination, I'll recommended you to Dr.William lane craig (well known Apologist) and his work on molinism and God's middle knowledge. That helped me with some of the tough questions on Calvinism/ Arminianism, could help you too. God bless!.

I share your well defined thoughts too, Andrew Wommack has been a blessing to me too esp on his teachings of Righteousness by faith. I may not agree with him about healing and prosperity but wouldn't rush to brand him a heretic. Just because we don't agree on some "secondary" aspects of our faith doesn't mean one is a heretic. If I believe and practice speaking in tongues should I call a fellow Christian who doesn't believe in tongues a heretic destined for hell. Some of these videos are done by believers who lack love and understanding.

@Jessica Penn..., I fully understand your pain concerning this as I was raised penecostal and discovered as an adult that it is simply a man-made construct to make people believe that they can obtain a mystical experience with God through pagan rituals. It hurts to know that the way you were raised was truth sprinkled into false teachings. It was not until I started to read whole passages on my own, apart from the cherry picked scripture reading I was taught, that I came to clearly see that the Bible does not teach what Penecostals and Word of Faith hold as "Gospel". It became clear to me that those people teach a DIFFERENT "Gospel" altogether. The Apostles and our Lord Jesus all warned about this heresy in their writings. Stay strong in the Lord, accept what you have seen and heard here from the Polite Leader and remember that the road that leads to life is NARROW and the path to destruction is WIDE. And this is exactly what we are seeing in the modern, western church. Look up "Conrad Mbewe" on You Tube - he has at least two sermons where he describes in great detail the destruction that the Word of Faith movement is doing to Africa. I also have several friends who are missionaries to Africa and they have described the WoF movement in Africa as a "Cancer" that is destroying the faith of people all over that continent. This breaks my heart and I ask all that read this post to pray earnestly for the eyes of our brethren all over the world to be opened to the destruction that the WoF movement has brought to the world. It is an American movement but it is deeply rooted in Gnosticism, a 2000 year old heresy.

But this is the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ when Jesus walked the Holy Land then Jesus healed all who came to Him. Jesus was revealing the true nature of God. How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power and went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil because God was with Him Acts 10:38. He has a free download on his website called God Wants You Well and it is life changing. We’re from Ireland and we have listened to these CDs fo over 10 times and my wife got healed of chronic migraines after hearing the truth of the gospel. @@seanrathmakedisciples1508 Give glory to God for your wife's healing. Don't want to start a text war, I prefer edifying and building up one another. So to you brother Sean, I say keep believing in our mighty and awesome God who heals according to His sovereign will. My issues with Wommack is simply that the sum of his theology is not biblically sound. Yes Jesus healed many people during His time on earth(and God continues to heal many people today) but there are examples when people did not get healed or died. There are instances when God was selective in manifesting His supernatural power(Naaman the leper, the widow at Zarapeth, the man at the well in John 5 are some examples). So it may not always be God's will to minister healing and often times we don't understand why but we trust that He knows best and all things will work together for our good and His kingdom. My final counsel to you brother Sean is this: let the Holy Spirit guide you into all truth and don't put your faith in ANY man. Be blessed brother and may the grace of the Lord be with you and your wife always.

@@kkdoc7864 All I am trying to say is that when Jesus spoke about "sowing the seed" he used it in more than one context. While finances and giving is one aspect to it, there are other ways that can be interpreted, say for example in the parable of the sower, the seed there was not money but the Word of God, more specifically, the gospel message. And it in other contexts it could be interpreted as sowing love, faith and so on. I have heard preachers teach on this topic more holistically, and making sweeping generalizations like "anyone who talks about it is a false teacher" is not correct in my opinion.

I once heard Andrew say this and it profoundly impacted me. I have listen to Andrew Wommack in the past, and he knows a lot about scripture and I actually like listening to him. I can't judge the man's heart and say he's a false convert. None of us have perfect Theology and we all grow up in different Church traditions. It's somebody grew up in a Word of Faith Church doesn't mean that when they got saved it wasn't real. Last I heard Wommack had discovered 117 laws of healing. He teaches nothing happens to you that you don’t allow. He is cold and merciless. The story that shocked me was that a couple’s son died because they were getting a divorce. (Whenever a ‘healing’ doesn’t work he looks for the reason why .) I attended a bible study once where the consensus was that they wanted to be ‘Andrew clones.’ I didn’t go back. They explain away Job that he spoke words of unbelief by sacrificing in case his children had sinned, and Paul didn’t have enough faith ( wasn’t persistent enough) to get rid of the thorn. Peter and John left their wallets at home when Peter said,”Silver and gold have I none.”and the list goes on. It’s enough to make your head crazy! And if you need further proof, Kenneth Copeland dedicated their new ministry facilities.

However, the new covenant is different. Yashua became the final sacrifice and took all our sins for us. Sickness was the direct result of some sin back in those days. Video-“ 10 Worst Word of Faith Teachers” The person in the video says the book “God Wants You Well” is not true when it says “its Gods will to heal every time.” He talks about Exodus and Job. These are both Old Testament examples. It’s true that God put sickness on people as a curse in the Old Testament because of their sin. But in the New Testament it says, Galations 3:13 “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” Jesus was the point in history where everything changed. In 1 Peter 2:24 it says, “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.” Later in the video he talks about when healing doesn’t occur people feel helpless and burdened because they don’t have enough faith. But I’ve learned that faith is not something to muster up, it’s more of a deep trust in God. That he is a good father and wants the best for his kids. It’s simply trusting his words that we are already healed and forgiven and safe. I’ve started speaking these words over myself and I’ve found that this has healed my own heart as well. Which I believe has spilled out into my physical body and has healed my body as well. It’s still not perfect but I believe it will get better and better as I renew my mind to the word and protect my heart. Later he talks about how we still live under the curse of Adam, and the proof is that we all die. I immediately thought of this verse, Romans 5:19-“For as by the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.” It is true that we all die and we don’t know what tomorrow brings but I do think we have the power and authority to fight against sickness and sin. We weren’t made to die of sickness. God hates sickness and sin. So do I, I rather go out fighting than give in. Then it talks about the disciples in the Acts church who had stomach ailments and some other issues. I can see this happening because they were just human like us. I think they were still learning and resisting the devil on these things. Humans only see in part. Even the disciples were not perfect. But in Acts what you do see, is many more examples of people getting healed. So many examples of healing. Many more examples than of disciples being sick. John McArthur talks about the stripes of Jesus as being spiritual not physical. But I believe he is wrong. First of all, look at all of the healing and miracles Jesus did. Plus all of the extra miracles and healings from his disciples. They were all physical. Sin creates sickness. The spiritual manifests into the natural. That’s why Jesus both died for our sins and sicknesses.

This is what Jesus said KJ21 Verily, verily I say unto you, he that believeth in Me, the works that I do he shall do also; and greater works than these shall he do, because I go unto My Father. AMP I assure you and most solemnly say to you, anyone who believes in Me [as Savior] will also do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these [in extent and outreach], because I am going to the Father. AMPC I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father. GW “I can guarantee this truth: Those who believe in me will do the things that I am doing. They will do even greater things because I am going to the Father. GNT I am telling you the truth: those who believe in me will do what I do-yes, they will do even greater things, because I am going to the Father. HCSB “I assure you: The one who believes in Me will also do the works that I do. And he will do even greater works than these, because I am going to the Father. ISV Truly, I tell all of you emphatically, the one who believes in me will also do what I’m doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I’m going to the Father. KJV Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. NTE ‘I’m telling you the solemn truth,’ Jesus continued. ‘Anyone who trusts in me will also do the works that I’m doing. In fact, they will do greater works than these, because I’m going to the father! RGT “Truly, truly I say to you, whoever believes in Me, the works that I do, he shall do also, and greater than these shall he do. For I go to My Father.

Now what does the word of God says we should be doing. We should be building up. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Romans 15:7 Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God. 1 Timothy 5:17 Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching. Ephesians 4:3 Eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Romans 14:5 One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. Romans 14:1-23 As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand. One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. ... John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 1 Peter 4:10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: 1 Peter 2:18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the unjust. Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Titus 1:1 Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the sake of the faith of God's elect and their knowledge of the truth, which accords with godliness, Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. Ephesians 4:16 From whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. Galatians 6:2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing. 1 Corinthians 14:26 What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up. Romans 14:19 So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding. Romans 14:13 Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother. Romans 12:10 Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honour. Romans 12:1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Romans 1:1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, Acts 2:23 This Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men. 1 John 2:2 He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 Peter 5:14 Greet one another with the kiss of love. Peace to all of you who are in Christ. 1 Peter 2:17 Honour everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the emperor. Hebrews 10:25 Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, Hebrews 3:14 For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end. Hebrews 1:9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions.” Titus 2:11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, Titus 2:5 To be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled. Titus 1:9 He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it. (Not degrade them on Social media) Philippians 2:12-13 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Ephesians 5:19 Addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Ephesians 4:32 Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:11-12 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, Ephesians 4:1-32 I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit-just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call- one Lord, one faith, one baptism, ... Ephesians 2:20 Built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, Ephesians 2:15 By abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 2 Corinthians 13:12 Greet one another with a holy kiss. 2 Corinthians 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, To the church of God that is at Corinth, with all the saints who are in the whole of Achaia: 1 Corinthians 16:20 All the brothers send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss. 1 Corinthians 14:12 So with yourselves, since you are eager for manifestations of the Spirit, strive to excel in building up the church. 1 Corinthians 12:25 That there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. 1 Corinthians 9:1 Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are not you my workmanship in the Lord? Romans 15:14 I myself am satisfied about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another. Romans 14:20 Do not, for the sake of food, destroy the work of God. Everything is indeed clean, but it is wrong for anyone to make another stumble by what he eats.. Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:1-39 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. ... Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Acts 20:28 Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood. Acts 2:46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, Matthew 18:1-35 At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, ... Lilly, the GREATEST work that anyone can do is lead an unbeliever (a dead person) into the Kingdom of God. There is NO GREATER WORK than this miracle! "." When Jesus was talking to His disciples in John 14, the context was that He was trying to convince them that He is God (He and the Father are One). The context is salvation, NOT HEALING. That passage of scripture clearly points to the greatest miracle being that one believes on Christ as God and submitting to HIS Lordship. This is why He stated that the Apostles would do greater works than He - it was simply that they reached far more people than Christ did in His 3 years of ministry. The apostles spread the Gospel message around the known world in their day. We as modern day Christians can and should be spreading this same message of repentance and belief in Christ as Lord to everyone around us. Faith healing, even if it were true, should only point to Christ and sadly these Word of Faith healers and teachers point people to themselves and not the Cross of Christ. Their message is a self-centered one, not a Biblical one. It is the very definition of "another Gospel" that we were warned about in the epistles.

John MacArthur doesn't believe in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, he's a cessationist, so of course he doesn't believe in healing. I listen to John MacArthur and I also listen to Andrew Wommack. I think they are both excellent, bible believing, God fearing Christians. Do a study of the Greek word SOZO in your bible and you will see that healing does indeed include/mean physical healing. We are so very lucky to be living in an age where we can see the bible in the original Hebrew and Greek and look up the meaning of words instantly on the internet. I listen to all kinds of preachers and the Holy Spirit gives me wisdom and discernment about each message and I always turn to the gospel, as we should. Not everyone gets it 100% right. However, to call AW a false teacher is a real stretch. All of the teachings/preaching I have seen from him are all solidly based in scripture. He just happens to be a continuationist and believes all the Gifts are available to us. But he is solidly grounded in the word of God and does not teach a false Gospel or a false Jesus as cults do. He is not a false teacher. He is a continuationist. If healing doesn't work, I would like to see anyone tell that to all the people that have testimonials, many of them backed up by medical documentation, on the AW website. You can view the videos at no charge, You can listen or watch all of the teachings on the AW website at no charge and you can call in for prayer at no charge. I've called in to pray with AW prayer ministers several times and I was NEVER asked to make a donation to the ministry.

Finally, someone who sees it the way it should be !!! Thank you so much for this comment @violetgypsie. I accepted Christ from a Hindu background and it was through Andrew's message series titled "Whose righteousness" and "living in balance of Grace and faith" that I understood clearly what the salvation message was all about. I know for sure Andrew doesn't teach a wrong gospel, at worst, he might sometimes come across as bit cocky, when he says people might not have been healed due to unbelief or lack of faith. I randomly came across this video a week back, and was shocked to see the way people freely slander Andrew in the comments section here. In this last week, I have made more than 60 comments, trying to engage each one of these fellows who have confidently asserted Andrew is a false teacher. Genuinely interested in what they got against Andrew. The answers I am getting are shocking, "I know Andrew is false teacher because Justin peters says so", " because Polite leader says so", " because Tim Martin says so". It's all bloody hearsay evidence!! I am still waiting on someone who could cogently define the criterion for a false teacher and show why Andrew Wommack fits in right there. If I was the owner of the channel, I would pin your comment to the top, and not be lost in the other hundreds of comments. But then again why expect the guy who made this video to do that. He seems like a disingenuous and insincere fellow, one who loves taking a hit below the belt!!

@@davidrussell631 False teachers are those that corrupt the core doctrines of Christian faith which has direct bearing on our salvation. Say for e.g,- gospel message of salvation by grace through faith, the divinity of Christ, or in acknowledging the Trinity. Mormons, Jehovah witnesses and other cults disagree in these essential doctrines with mainstream Christianity, and hence the name. My understanding is Andrew preaches the same gospel that Apostle Paul preached in 1 Corinthians 15. That Christ died for our sins, was buried, and was raised on the third day. Any one who believes in this is saved. As far as I know, Andrew preaches this exact same gospel as a means to salvation. Please correct me if I'm wrong here. Whether or not healings and miracles happen today is not an essential doctrine of our faith and can no way affect my salvation, whether I believe one way or other. That is not what defines us as Christians, but faith in redemption through Christ. So I don't think it's right to indict someone as false teacher because we disagree with their theology in non-essentials. Do you think Polite leader is right in doing so?

Vignesh jagadisan , Scripture tells to mark, correct, and avoid false teachers. Period. We can’t just put the gospel in a box, check it off if a preacher seems to get that right, and then let him or her also teach anything else that undermines God’s sovereignty, promotes idolatry via the prosperity gospel, and creates division in the body. Even the demons know the narrative of the gospel. Yes, we shouldn’t minor on minors and we should be gracious with nonessential doctrinal differences. But the gospel should be the focus of a minister. If they subtract by addition, it’s destructive. Check out the movie “American Gospel Christ Alone”. Also, here’s an excellent sermon by John Piper on Romans 16:17-18 as well as a podcast dealing with the issue you raise. www.desiringgod.org/interviews/should-we-call-out-false-teachers-or-ignore-them www.desiringgod.org/messages/watch-out-for-those-who-lead-you-away-from-the-truth

@Mark OnTheBlueRidge Agreed, but the Bible in the same vein also teaches unity in the body of Christ. Heard of this famous adage " In essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, and in all things charity". May be Dr. Brown has the wisdom to seperate the essentials and non-essentials of Christian faith; something that our fellow polite leader lacks when he accuses men of God as false teachers, for differing with him in non-essentials such as Healing.
@jags040887
@jags040887 4 жыл бұрын
@Mark OnTheBlueRidge You are mistaken when you say "they Falsely claim to heal". I don't think anyone is claiming that they can heal people of sicknesses. Christians don't heal the sick, Christ does!!. Saying "I Can Heal" is witch-craft, not Christianity. Now there are many interpretations and viewpoints as to how our God brings about healing in the world today. Hardline Cessationists such as Justin peters would say that Apostolic gifts such as healing have ceased to exist with the 1st century, while God can choose to heal someone if he sovereignly wills, such healings are rare now. If someone tells you they were supernaturally healed today, you need to keep a watchful eye on them because it most likely is fake or at best a placebo effect. Someone like John Piper, the well known and respected man of God is a "Continuationist" with respect be spiritual gifts such as healing, miracles and tongues. He thinks these gifts haven't ceased to exist but should be sought by the church today to fully experience and enjoy God. But Piper also warns us of possible misuse of gifts and teaches us the best and most edifying way to use them in personal Christian life. With respect to healing, his position is that while he loves and enjoys a good healing testimony and glorifies God for healing that person, it by no means is a guarantee. The sovereign God who chooses to heal some, also chooses to inflict sickness on others. As creatures, it's our duty to glorify our creator God in both sickness and disease. In fact, John Piper's book "Don't waste your Cancer" is all about how sickness glorifies God and his divine plan in your life. Andrew Wommack on the other hand thinks such a preaching while no doubt upholds God's sovereignty compromises on God's benevolence, another necessary attribute of God. According to Andrew, it is not God that puts cancer in your body but Satan does. As long as believers continue to think that God gave them that cancer they are never gonna resist the devil, while the Bible says resist the devil and he will flee from you. Andrew thinks believers are making an attribution error- attributing to God what is actually the work of the devil but Bible says every good gift comes from the Lord. His book "God wants you well" is all about emphasizing the goodness of God. He encourages people to stand in God's word and believe that he will heal them. If God loves you when you are yet sinners that he died for you, how much more he loves you now that you are his sons and daughters. If you can believe that Christ died for you, why can't you believe that he loves you enough to heal you?, quips Andrew. He simply doesn't want sick believers to throw in the towel and call it quits, but wants them to stand in faith and rebuke the devil who is the author of their sickness. Being a Continuationist, Andrew concurs that there is a place for healing ministries and holy anointings today, but emphasizes that all the healing you need is in the scriptures and you don't have to seek out holy men and anointed healers for your deliverance. Finally, someone like Benny Hinn or late Kathryn Kuhlman firmly affirm the scriptures that talk about God pouring out his Spirit on all people during the end times. People seeing visions, dreams and healing is promised to us during these times. According to Benny Hinn, Evangelism when coupled with signs and wonders makes it doubly powerful. He agrees it is possible to get healed by praying in the closet on your own. But insists that the purpose of his healing crusades is evangelism. When people in the stands see God's anointing overflowing others, and hear powerful healing testimonies, they immediately come to the Lord and bring glory to the name of Jesus. So my point in writing all this is to show that when it comes to healing, there is a spectrum of views, ranging from hardline Cessationist position to overt Continuationist position. While I only quoted four, there obviously are other nuanced opinions along this continuum. My point here is not even to argue that Andrew Wommack has the most balanced position in this spectrum of viewpoints. All that I am saying is it simply DOES NOT MATTER !! You are more than welcome in subscribing to Justin peters, Benny Hinn or John Piper. Makes no difference to your ultimate salvation. We are not saved by our position on healing, but by our trust in the redeeming sacrifice of Jesus Christ. As I said before, these are non-essentials of Christian faith. Accusing someone as a false teacher because of their belief in healing is not only morally wrong but does tremendous disservice to the body of Christ. Yet that precisely is what Polite leader does in this video of 6 mins. In the first 40 seconds he gives an intro on Andrew Wommack and then goes in a tangent, explaining to us his pet view on healing and how it differed from Andrew's. All that this video goes on to show is that polite leader and Andrew Wommack have different interpretations of Biblical scriptures, as it relates to healing!!... So what? How does that necessarily make Andrew Wommack a false teacher?
@jags040887
@jags040887 4 жыл бұрын
@Mark OnTheBlueRidge What you are saying here goes pretty much in line with what my Atheist pals would say about miracles in the Bible. This is the same Verificationist objection to miracles first proposed by philosopher David Hume in the 18th century. According to Hume, the evidence in favor of a miracle, even when that is provided by the strongest possible testimony, will always be outweighed by the evidence for the law of nature which is supposed to have been violated. Atheist Verificationist arguments go like this - These days we don't see dead people raising up from their graves on the third day and appearing to hundreds of followers. We don't see sailors that go overboard living happily in the belly of a fish only to be coughed back onto the shore. In our gardens and zoos Snakes don't sneak up on people only to entice them with flowery words. Yet your Bible claims all of these to be real historic events. Get back to me when you find a authentic verifiable miracle today, then we can talk about accepting Christ !!. You see unlike other religions, like say Buddhism or Hinduism, Christianity is founded in a super natural event. If Christ did not rise then Christianity becomes a false religion !! Our faith is in the risen Christ !!. I know Cessationists would want to put an expiry date on miracles, and then love playing the full-blown skeptic against the rest of the Christendom, but I am not buying it. You cannot be a Christian and also be skeptical about miracles- got a lot of explaining to do. Having said that, I am not anyway suggesting that we need to turn a blind eye to the conartists posing as healers. If what you have said about Kathryn Kuhlman or Benny Hinn is correct, I can only think of three possibilities. One, they are honestly mistaken and do not follow up with people who claim to being healed in their meetings. And those who claim healing were never really healed in the first place, but only felt what psychologists would call a "subjective sense of well-being". A mix of dopamine and serotonin can do that to you. Second, they were actually healed during the healing crusades by the overflowing anointing of God, but then lost the healing after few days. Why did they lose? Some say going back to a life of sinful habits can do that, others say unbelief or lack of faith. Short answer is we don't know. Third, Some of these so called healing missionaries are actually conartists who enroll paid actors to play the roles in their diabolic plans. This would be deplorable and truly a sad thing. The problem is we don't know who is who, and I will let our omniscient God be the judge. Moreover it is true, I haven't listened to all of them in Polite leader's list. I have not even heard of Mike Murdoch or Pat Robinson. While I can't speak for everyone in the list, I have been listening to Andrew's teachings for about 15 years and can definitely say that Andrew Wommack is no false teacher. And even in this video all that PL shows is how his interpretation of healing scriptures is different from Andrew's, but would want to accuse him as false teacher for that !!

@Mark OnTheBlueRidge Hey, thanks for sharing this link. It was painful to hear this man speak. He was truly grieving in the spirit. I'll try to find the full recording of that sermon to listen to. While there is nothing honourable in being poor, there is also nothing praiseworthy in being rich, and boasting on one's material riches is plain stupid. As John Piper would say, there is nothing wrong in making a lot of money, but there is something wrong if you want to keep a lot of money. I think that's the right Christian attitude about money. I agree with word of faith teachers when they preach about inheriting the Abrahamic blessings, or when they talk about how the wealth of the ungodly is stored up for the righteous. I only wish they emphasize more on the purpose of this transfer of wealth, or the purpose of inheriting Abrahamic blessings. It is to fulfill God's purposes in this world, and not for buying a $15k dog!!. God blesses you, for you to be a blessing for others. Money is a powerful tool, if used wisely. That's why I like Andrew's sermon series on "Financial stewardship" in this regard. Helped me understand that I am merely a steward of God's wealth, and accountable to God on how I spend it. He is our source and all that we have belongs to him. He is the one who gives us the power to gain wealth in the first place. The very notion of MY money, MY house and MY car is un-christian, runs contrary to what the scriptures teach on denying self and following Christ. That's not being a good steward. And as far as I know, Andrew has been a good steward with ministry money. Over the years he has made all his resources available for free to download in his website. Anyone can also write to his ministry if you can't afford the books or teaching CD's. They will send it half the way across the globe, for free, covering the shipping cost too. I accepted Christ in my teens from a Hindu background, and for 12 years I have used his resources without paying back a single penny. Only 3 years back, after securing a decent job, I started contributing to his ministry. I understand there is a lot of criticism on tele-evangelists for misappropriating ministry funds. But I think Andrew Wommack ministries have been reasonable with partner contributions. Though not legally mandated, their independently audited financial statements are available in the ministry website. The last Financial year (2018-19) Andrew Wommack ministries had a total revenue of about 57 million USD. Personally, Andrew's annual salary as the founder was about 240k in FY 18-19, and his wife Jamie made another 88k for her role as the co-director or something. You can also verify the same info in the website of "Charity navigator", the watchdog organization of non-profits. They have consistently rated Andrew Wommack ministries the highest 4 stars for financial accountability and transparency. So overall, I don't think Andrew Wommack leads a money grubbing and lavish lifestyle as few others and would be wrong to brand everyone the same.

@@djrick56 Hmm..That's an interesting line of reasoning- judging Andrew Wommack as a false teacher for his association with Copeland . Using your own logic, let me identify another false teacher for you who is leading the flock astray - Pastor John Piper, the well known and respected man of God has consistently supported and praised Rick Warren (of Saddleback church) and his book purpose driven Life. He apparently "loves" Warren's work. Rick Warren on the other hand, has been a part of Ecumenical councils organized by the Pope, and has gone as far as stating that anyone who loves Pope Francis, loves Jesus Christ!!.obvious blasphemy !!. So should we say that by associating with the pope that Rick Warren is a false teacher? , and for cohorting with Rick Warren, should John Piper also be condemned as false teacher? By following your chain of reasoning, there will hardly be anyone left, who isn't an heretic!!. My question is from this video of 6 mins that polite leader has made on Andrew Wommack, all we get to hear is how he disagrees with Andrew's understanding of Healing. So all that we can conclude is Andrew and PL have different interpretations on certain biblical scriptures, as they relate to healing. So what? In 2004 I had the unfortunate experience of Mr Wommack visiting the church I then attended. Some of the church leadership were subscribers to his ministry and the opportunity for having such a 'big name' visit our humble church proved too much to resist. He blatantly lied about a situation that was arising at the time regarding the alleged misconduct of the pastor, who was known to Wommack. I won't give details but he blatantly lied about his knowledge of the situation and how he tried to interfere in the disciplinary process that was taking place. I think that the bible is clear enough about the need for integrity and honesty, especially in those in a position of trust. I was unaware of who Wommack was, or what his ministry was about prior to this, but it does not surprise me how much he lies in his money-making prosperity gospel scam. Romans 2:24 comes to mind: For, as it is written, “The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.”

I have a question. If God makes deaf, blind etc according to Exodus 4:11. And Jesus healed the deaf, blind. Isnt this exactly what Jesus teaches: And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. Mark 3:25‭-‬26 KJV Can someone explain this? Thanks you and God bless

@tonybasoni8443 4 жыл бұрын
RAFJ,......All the healings Jesus did were shadows or parables of the spiritual healing Jesus does for those that he came to save. The healing of a deaf person for example is God showing us, that we do not have ears to hear the truth of Gods word. The blind are a picture of our spiritual blindness that needs to be healed. These things were all pictures of the spiritual healing that God/Jesus does for us. We being spiritually dead cannot do these things for ourselves, despite the church wrongly telling everyone they can. God is not concerned with our physical wellbeing, only our spiritual wellbeing. The house divided is the church. The church is completely divided (fake) and it will not stand. This is why Jesus referred to the church as the abomination of desolation. All involved with it are desolate. They are not the sheep of Jesus's flock, and on the last day, that counterfeit church and all those snared into it will not stand. These are not those that have been called by Jesus, these are those that have broken into Gods kingdom, (called themselves) and have taken it by force. They have perverted everything for their advantage, for the will of man, and not the will of God.

@@ttkbaj ,......Yes, absolutely, all the healings were shadows of the spiritual healing of our spiritually dead souls that God/Jesus does. God has no concern with physical healing. The unsaved have this concern, not the Godly. This is a concern of the world, (the fake church of the world) not the true church. What you consider as the church is not the church. It has nothing to do with God, it is of the world. So what you are believing is that the 100% fake ungodly church is healing the sick by the power of God. How is that possible? It isn't. Only when one actually understands the Bible , and understands that all the healings only pointed to, and were only about the healing of our sin sick dead souls, can one then see and understand the truth of God and his word, and not become deceived by all this fake nonsense. Those of the world, are tricked by this, not those chosen of God. Please explain to me why in the world would God heal someone physically but not spiritually? So, if you are saying that all those physically healed are also spiritually healed, then these are proven to be the actual people of God. We would then have to listen to all those physically healed as they have been proven to have the truth of God, and are the ones loved by God because these are the few that have been healed by God. This is a ridiculous idea and is clearly 100% unbiblical. It is clearly seen that those that seek physical healing, and think they have been physically healed, are easily seen to have no actual Biblical knowledge, and are all just the lost people of the 100% fake church that has no actual Biblical understanding. But according to you and them, they are the people of God. How silly.

The word for healing in Isaiah and Peter, contrary to McArthur s statement does stand for physical healing. Read t.j crosson bodily healing and atonement. He is not a word of faith person, being a Presbyterian, but he is a hebrew/Greek scholor. The word used for healing means physical healing in those scriptures, not spiritual. Crosson goes as far as to say any claim contrary is purposefully deceitful when looking at those scriptures. But believe what u want. Long as you have given your life to Jesus, won't make you not saved, will just mean you miss out on a blessing through unbelief. Now I have seen God heal by faith. Had Dr. Nemeh lay hands on my son, and heal a cheek condition that would have left him paralyzed. God operated by faith. Keep in mind, all healing of God is by mercy, just like salvation is because of Mercy too. His grace comes through his love, shown on us by his great mercy. Its the whole message of the Bible.

Christians are hard on those with illnesses or disabilities. They won't sit near someone with a cane or walker. This has been my experience. I once went to church with my neighbor to a Baptist church. I became a Christian at a Baptist church. Never expected to be used in a Sunday School lesson talking about lack of faith by those who are chronically ill. They said I didn't have enough faith to be healed. I was the example. I never went back. Did hear that teacher died from cancer within the year. He was a smoker. During the time I was working and taking care of my dad and only brother, both of whom were dying. My brother was diagnosed with cancer and died at 46. My dad died two years later from emphysema.During my brothers illness the teacher said to the room I would be better off if he died already. Left me with another deep wound. BTW my mother died two days before my 24th birthday. I had spent the year caring for her full time. Those people knew they were the only family I had left. I was diagnosed year after my brothers death with systemic lupus. My health plummeted so I never married. Church people have since been a thorn in my side. They don't realize how much hurt they can pour in others.

Wommack in a word: CRUEL. I can only assume his aww shucks southern drawl hooks people in but his cruelty and spiritual abuse toward the ones God says are the most vulnerable makes me cringe. His arrogance and self proclaimed super Christian faith is astounding. I pray for mercy and salvation to come to him🙏

You said Jesus never reversed the curse, but galations says Christ has redeamed us from the curse of the Law. Just speculating that everyone dies is no different then what Jesus said. Yes, this body will one day put on immortality as Paul says, but the word also says that if he that raised christ from the dead dwells in you, he will also quicken your mortal body. That means make alive, or well. U have a viewpoint that is very carnal sir. U should study more.

@@octaviousmckenzie2362 May I ask why you are impressed by this video of polite leader? In fact, he talks about Andrew Wommack for the first 40 seconds of this video, and then goes on a tangent explaining to us why it is not God's will to always heal you. So polite leader is essentially making this argument Premise: Andrew has a different interpretation of biblical scriptures when it comes to healing. Conclusion: Therefore, Andrew must be a false teacher. I think this is blatantly fallacious argument !!. Why do you think it's a "great video"?

@ Ramlin35.. Andrew Wommack reaches to people across the globe, and has a greater following compared to someone like say Jesse Duplantis. This apparently would make him more dangerous in the eyes of Polite leader. In fact, he doesn't address Andrew Wommack at all after the first 40 seconds of this video. @@jags040887 ,....No, she did not make a mistake. She is spot on. This is a separation of those that understand the Bible (those called by God). And those that do not understand the Bible (those that have called themselves). Real Christians, and fake ones.

@@tonybasoni8443 No Lr Miller was making a sweeping generalization and technically it's a logical fallacy. We commit it all the time in common parlance and that's perfectly all right, say for example, "I don't think anybody lives in North Dakota. Everybody I ever talked to who was from there doesn't live there anymore" is a sweeping generalization fallacy. But I believe we need to be very careful when we are accusing others as false teachers with these generalizations. The scriptures warns us to be so!.

I’d be really interested to hear your perspective on Dr. Howard John Wesley. He’s been putting out series on KZbin called, “Can I Push It?” where he challenges the norms of the Christian faith. I believe he considers himself to be an “inclusionist” when it comes to salvation outside of the Christian faith and he has also preached about how one can refer to the Holy Spirit as “she” or “her”. He has loads of content to check out.
