Punk vs MJF revolution is the best ppv match in aew. Punk coming out to AFI dressed in his indy gear it was friggin epic. The match was a dog collar match and it was a bloody epic battle

When it comes to #1 on this list, it also had a major effect on the ratings as after "The Fingerpoke of Doom" happened, thousands of fans (especially in the US) flipped the channel from TNT to USA to see Mankind win the WWF title from the Rock on Raw in one of the most iconic moments in Raw history. It certainly didn't help WCW one bit that earlier in the night on Nitro, Tony Schiavone basically gave away the result of that match as Raw was still taped at the time & said "that will put butts in seats" which raised fan intrigue into what was happening on Raw as if it was happening live. The January 4th 1999 edition of Raw basically solidified the viewer shift in favor of the WWF & really started the decline of WCW.

One that comes to mind is the whole Black scorpion thing. Buildup was VERY GOOD!! Had everyone guessing....a Lot! Then it turns out to be Ric flair, the guy sting was feuding with anyways, which was a major letdown. Still, gotta give Ric flair credit for not giving away his identity during the match.

HBK hilariously oversold Hogan's offense because Terrible Terry used his backstage pull to get the planned best of three series of matches changed to one and done even though Hogan would win 2 of the 3 matches. Yes, Hogan wouldn't do the job for HBK, saying it wouldn't be believable.
