The Perry Saturn shoot is the worst of these in my opinion. Mike bell, as a result of the injuries to his neck and back, became addicted to painkillers and ended up in rehab where he was found dead after a heart attack. RIP

@@mrt6878 I think APA were responsible for a lot of frat boy behaviour that was never punished and implictly supported backstage. if they still acted that way today I'd say they should be blackballed. it was wrong and time won't change that. it'd be a bit late to do anything about now and by all reports al lot of the douchbaggery going on in the business has matured. sure it took grown men a decade or 2 to get there but, seems like they've got there eventually.

I heard Steve-O from Jackass talking about this, he took responsibility and acknowledged it was his own fault, he was high on cocaine at the time and wasn't listening when they told him that until he pretended to be out cold, a professional wrestler was going to keep beating on him because that's what they're taught to do. So he kept getting up rather than staying down, leaving Umaga no choice but to legit beat him down.

Saturn and the APA were well known company enforcers, most federations use them to teach other talent not to shoot in their matches (or else). Saturn wasn't one of WWE's enforcers, but old habits die hard, so he was the one punished. If you have to make it look real, then it has to be as real as it gets. Wrestling has risks of being injured, so I am not surprised by that. Some of them landed fists on their opponent because either the opponent started the fight or they got hurt. A lot of these incidents happen not just in WWE.

Wrestling is predetermined but imagine you and your friend saying..Ok we are going to really kick each other's asses for the next few minutes then you let me win. Just because the outcome was predetermined doesn't mean they don't lay into each other at times like it's real.
