I don’t think anybody in history has had their momentum killed as many times as Dolph did between 2011-2016. It’s almost impressive how driven they were to keep him a midcarder

I think natayla and ziggler will get major push if it's their retirement story
@WrestlingForever93
@WrestlingForever93 Жыл бұрын
As a Natalya fan , I agree with your opinion. I think this year is her retirement story. I remember watching a recent interview with her in which she was asked what would be her last accomplishment?. She replied it would be winning the Raw Womens Championship since It was the only one she has not yet held. I believe if she won it , it would be like Trish Stratus in 2006 or Gail Kim in 2017. If it wasn't a retirement story , I agree with the people in the comments section that she wouldn't win any time soon. The reason I believe is that WWE would have hard time convincing the WWE universe that a 40 year old woman beat a younger and stronger woman.
@MrWebby93
@MrWebby93 Жыл бұрын
@WrestlingForever93 to be fair, that's no different than 50 year old men (or near 50) beating men in their 20s or 30s.
@WrestlingForever93
@WrestlingForever93 Жыл бұрын
@@MrWebby93 I respectively disagree. If there is no difference , how do you explain why Brock Lesnar , Goldberg , Bobby Lashley , and Steve Austin are allowed to win championships and/or given big wins at their ages. However , women wrestlers like Victoria (2005-2009) , Mickie James (2016-2020) , Natalya (2017-) , Tamina , Trish Stratus and Lita (2019-) are either not given more singles reigns or clean finishes over big names ; and usually used as enhancement talent.
@MrWebby93
@MrWebby93 Жыл бұрын
@@WrestlingForever93 My comment is more "if the men can do it, then the women should to". Totally understand what you mean, but what I mean is if a man in his 50s can beat a man in his 30s, than a woman in her 40s should also beat a woman in her 30s.
@WrestlingForever93
@WrestlingForever93 Жыл бұрын
@@MrWebby93 Thank you responding and appreciate your understanding. It is unfair how WWE believes there is no age limit on male wrestlers "getting over" (winning) , but when a woman wrestler reaches 30 and older , they are excluded from future single championship reigns and serve as "sparring partners" for the younger talent.

Not sure Jinder was ever considered a legit main eventer. He was pushed for one reason and one reason only: Vince wanted to break into the wrestling market in India. (Same reason the Great Khali was pushed a few years earlier with similar results.)

@daviddalrymple2284

The weirdest thing about Jinder's push is that he was booked as the "cowardly foreign heel" archetype rather than a charismatic and/or unstoppable juggernaut.
@night6724
@night6724 Жыл бұрын
@@stevegallo8483 Yeah I've seen clips of him in Japan. If he came to WWE two years earlier people would remember him better. Even then WWE did a good job booking him as an unstoppable monster and was fairly convincing as world champion even if he was basically a stop gap champion to give Batista time to come back. I know internet smarks hate lumbering giants but giants are a legit draw and Khali was and is a national hero in Indian and did a lot to expand WWE and wrestling to India.
@night6724
@night6724 Жыл бұрын
@@daviddalrymple2284 What I find even funnier is that the Indian broadcasters depicted Mahal as a face. In a way I think there was a huge missed opportunity for Mahal, specifically a unique storyline of what if a jobber became world champ. It didn't even work out considering Mahal was not a draw in India and Lesnar refused to work with him and they had to throw the belt on AJ Styles despite hyping Mahal vs Lesnar in India

Well, honestly I think the biggest issue with WWE is holding back their major talents for years by keeping the titles on the same people for way too long. That holds back talent and keeps them from getting to the next level. Strowman has all of the makings of a main event monster, he has the consistent arsenal of hard hitting moves but lacking variety similar to all giants, he doesn't speak much, and he is super strong, and already "over" with fans, but WWE is set on giving the spotlight to the same people for years.

Bray Wyatt, AJ Styles, Shayna Baysler, Sami Zayne, KO… I don’t think any of those are gonna get the belt again. And they are all popular enough for a push.

There îs still hope for Aj style to get one final title reign, but it would be his last one. I would say maybe edge as well but he is above any title nowadays. No title would rise his stature any higher.

@@mihaimercenarul7467 yeah I could say the same about both. And I agree AJ could do it without it being a “nostalgia run”
