I dunno, the success gap between Punk and Cabana is not only rather wide but also fairly comparable to the one between the Gunns, as Bart also carved out a nice career for himself in Japan after the whole Brawl for All thing. Can't see why one is an example of a Jannetty and the other gets to be on the list.
@trevorbyrne4668 Жыл бұрын
This is a weird, kinda silly list. Punk & Cabana is about as close to a modern-day Michaels & Janetty as you can get. Punk is one of the most successful and impactful wrestlers of his generation. And Cabana is Cabana. I guess these guys don't like Punk? They barely mention him, make no specific mention of his multiple WWE world titles (including a year-plus reign), but hype Colt Cabana's journeyman career like he's Ric Flair. Cabana is 'a celebrated figure in AEW'... but the 2-time AEW World Champion gets just a snarky joke and that's it. Oh, and the 'prestigious NWA title'...

i have a honorable mention and that's the Hollywood Blondes. in WCW, Brian Pillman and Steve Austin had a stint as tag team known as the Hollywood Blondes. however they were split up by WCW management though they each made a name for themselves during and after they left Atlanta, Pillman would be known for his unhinged gimmick which he perfected to a perfect degree that his fellow wrestlers actually thought he was insane as well as being a part of the reformed Hart Foundation as he's a family friend. Austin would find luck in ECW before jumping to WWE in 1995 first as The Ringmaster and then as Stone Cold Steve Austin who would be the face of the Attitude Era best known for his feud with Vince.

As someone who doesn't like Punk, saying anything about his AEW stint that isn't, the young asshole really started it all, and it was just an awkward situation. You CAN'T put that on Punk because it's literally reports about incidents, then superstars speaking out in support of him, him leaving the show they made for him, and the ratings dying more then they already were. Tony is just an AWFUL boss who couldn't check some nobodies, and then hung his HIGHEST performer out to dry cause he called him out for all their bad shit. Just like how their "safety committee" was people who have said in public they hated Punk. Plus Matt was on that panel and he LITERALLY can't even help himself or his brother from being a liability to people's lives.
