@@semblanceofdisorder I've tried, twice now actually to type you a in depth reply about your question, but idk maybe since there was shop names or something it keeps getting deleted or something. The short of it is, if you have no experience, there are very cheep options to get started, but if you want all the quality of a pro, it'll cost you well over $1000, depending on a ton of factors. A lot of research is required. I got one for $300, and no it's not PERFECT, but it's been a god send for me, and my loved one.

She enjoyed some kinds of music, mandolin, soft singing, flute, but that she LOVED. She watched the performer for nearly half an hour. A chicken. She "trilled" to the music, which is a chicken's vocalization of happiness. I've always been fascinated by the effects of music, song, art, dance....have on some animals. You know what's kinda sad? That people are losing their minds over this young lad and his musical talent...when this should be normal! All kids should have the opportunity to grow up in a safe, peaceful, positive vibes kinda environment that this young boy clearly grew up in. All kids should know their way around at least a handful of instruments, as music feeds the soul! So happy for this intelligent young man, but sad that kids like him are not common place. I wish for a world where his kind of upbringing is worldwide, and itsa normal part of childhood. You rock, little man! Thanks so much for playing for us!

It's not talent. Getting this good requires practice. But I agree that kids should have more opportunities to explore music. I am 44 and didn't become a musician until recently. I decided to really give music a go in December of 2021. There was a time when plenty of people could play an instrument to some degree. But so many people these days don't play. I wonder how many people are turned away by the idea that it's about talent rather than learning and practicing.

Wow, im 25 and have played many instruments, my favorites right now are my 2 handpans in key of d and g minor, and i am nowhere close to this yet, this is phenomenal! I was in band and orchestra in middle and high school, and never once heard of this until i started attending sacred fire ceremonies with a local group led by a man who is part apache- the shamanic drumming was so resonate with my soul I ended up making one in a workshop run by the same man, listened to and played that to help me fall asleep, then shortly after, found handpan music, and it became my new #1 sleep and meditation thing. I saved up and miraculously found a good quality affordable one sale, and just recently finished paying it off 10 months after getting it- after which I found a slightly smaller one in key of g minor, also on sale, which ended up being more affordable AND better quality than the 1st one I got. I play them 3x/day and it is still hard for me to play intuitively (I am fairly trained in music theory, so my brain wants to play a coherent song instead of improvisation), as well as quickly. This is beautiful, kid has some incredible talent.
