I can relate! Well, to an extent. I've uploaded a relatively small amount, and inconsistently at that, and haven't received much attention, but I do know about the trying out camera angles, fiddling with lighting, developing technique, and improving recording setup. I've actually started to get some pretty good quality on the sound (recording quality; playing is eh, not sure), but most importantly, I've become fully comfortable in front of a camera. That was probably my biggest hurdle.

This is their 50th Anniversary, and the drumming is amazing on all of their songs. Or, Def Leppard? Rick Allen is an amazing drummer. Both are bands that have very few covers.

I can see that her hand technique has improved, but wouldn't it make more sense to showcase what she's done audibly? As a newcomer to this channel, I'd be far more inclined to check out her other videos if I could hear everything that she's doing, and I'd be able to appreciate it more than I already do. I did indeed check out her other videos, and I'm pretty jealous of her skill, if I'm honest. It's pretty simple to edit a video to have short clips of audio and video; I don't understand why it has to flow together into some sort of comprehensive piece if the whole point is to showcase her 10-year progression.

If it was her intent to showcase the audible skill progression then she would’ve made it with the drum audio. Take it for what it is. A video montage over 10 years showing her growing up while playing drums the whole time. “Progression” might not be the best title word to describe this video, but it most definitely does not explicitly imply that it’s about skill and technique progression both audibly and visually.

@@scooter2161 Therein lies my confusion; why name it '10-year KZbin progression', then? A progression of what? Videography? Progression of age? Or progression of her skill as a drummer? Neither of us can be sure unless she confirms what her intent of the video was, but I made the assumption based on the fact that she is playing drums that the title of the video was referring to her progression as a drummer. If that isn't the case, then what was she referring to? My point is that if, in fact, the video is about her progression as a drummer, that I would have liked to have heard what she was playing so that I could enjoy it more. It's criticism, yes, but I think it's constructive criticism.

Wow so cool, it's like you knew you were gonna get here! I use to film myself doing guitar originals or covers back in 2007 to 2010 but stopped. I was always torn because I liked music as much as I liked 3D Art, bodybuilding and computers. I thought I could do them all an I did at different stages in my life so far. Now I work as a data center tech but went back to character artwork on the computer as my main focus. I wish I could of had one interest that would of pulled me more then the others but I'm still doing all the things I love at least. Take it from me I've had some major ups an downs in my life so whatever you do don't ever stop. The sacrifice you make to be great at something can come with a heavy price at times but you're living proof persistence pays off. I'm still trying to live up to what you've accomplished Kristina.

I just found you and stumbled upon this video and wow, 10 years is an amazingly long time, respect for keeping going! And thank you for your words, too. It gives me, planning to finally shoot some videos, too, a little hope.
