Awesome job, you remind me of myself when i was young and still today at 58 this fall i have the traditional fire burning. Cant wait to walk the woods next week with longbow in hand.

Chris very nice job with the video my wife watched and enjoyed it as well. You stated many truths, I have experienced what Bowhunting offers and couldn't agree more. As Fred Bear once said, " immerse yourself in the outdoors it will cleanse your soul". Very nice video keep up the good work. Bill

Great video. Recently got into traditional archery and my first season was a game changer. I released a few arrows with no success but learned a ton (and had a blast).
@InstinctiveAdventures5 жыл бұрын
Having a blast is way more important than filling tags. If it were only about filling tags I would pick up a modern bow

Great story and thanks for being a traditional archer. The compound shooters will never understand the feeling of real archery that comes from a simple curved stick and string.
@Ihsaan14226 жыл бұрын
pjculbertson55, come on now simply congratulations on a GREAT film was necessary. I've hunted both for years and the feeling is EXACTLY the same with either bow and every animal God has allowed me to kill. I see the same amazing forms of creation with the compound in my hand as I do with one of my recurve bows. I have the same struggles with my compound as I do with my recurve. I have the same terrible, exhilarating, breathtaking, maddening close encounters, successes, and absolute failures no matter what ARCHERY equipment I have in my hand! Anyway... You have a new subscriber because sir you made an amazing film and it brought back tons of memories from my years of bow hunting! Like you, I too started with small game! Thanks for taking the time, effort, and energy of the film to bring us along on your journey!
@mknight51596 жыл бұрын
I feel guilty using my compound. So now I only use my Shakespeare Necedah. Feels so much more natural hunting with a recurve. Way bigger adrenaline rush when still hunting too. Not guaranteed to put meat in the freezer every year but a lot more rewarding
@allanwagner45706 жыл бұрын
compound or traditional we are all bowhunters no room for prejudice no room to pit each other against one another cant we all just get along????
@stringsntriggers5 жыл бұрын
@@mknight5159 i feel guilty using my recurves because I know that no matter how much I practice with them I just cannot shoot as well as I can using sights. I do enjoy both but I have made cleaner kills using sights. I do well with the recurve but occasionally have a terrible shot.I also have a necedah. Great bow. Good luck hunting.

At least your hunting with a stick which is the heart of bowhunting not a machine with cams on it bowhunting is like a disease which can never be cured. Every good bow hunter knows that hunting doesn’t start in October it’s always with us !

What state is the most beautiful to hunt in? Am Considering moving to Vermont or go south for the warmth instead... any suggestions if one want a good gun-friendly state and a state with beautiful nature great for bow-hunting !? Thanks 😊
@InstinctiveAdventures4 жыл бұрын
might wanna listen to the podcast I just recorded with greenmountain tradcast. Schafer is from Vermont and he was telling me that there aren't a whole lot of deer in Vermont, lol. As far as which state is best I couldn't tell you I've only hunted Maryland and for the first time this year PA as well. I'm not well versed in the best hunting state.

its nice to see a good traditional archer in success or failure i like your story however ,,,,,,i think that we as archers should stand together rather than belittle the other guy like Mr. pjculbertson55 did i think you did a great job with your video

Get rid of those disposable broadheads and buy some Zwickys

I’m a poor boy, those cheap guys haven’t let me down. I did upgrade this year though I’m shooting RMS cutthroats. Figured I should spend more money once then less money every year
@randyscott90347 жыл бұрын
I’m poor boy also thats why I choose broadheads I can sharpen a six pack of zwickys will last me my lifetime or for that matter any of many fixed blade broadheads will work.
@InstinctiveAdventures7 жыл бұрын
Randy Scott that’s what I was saying the RMS cutthroats are a single piece of carbon steel with a lifetime guarantee. Big ole single beveled head.
