The interesting thing about this whole "slender man" concept is actually based on the phobia feeling that someone is constantly watching you. Your mind is trying to make out of what it is and this slender "figure" is being processed through your head and the longer you stare at it, the worse it becomes until the point where you basically lose your mind.

Well no.. It was actually based on the concept of mothers telling their children about certain monsters to get them to behave. My aunt owns 163 acres of forest and it was just like this game, from the long walk to the house, the house being separate from the woods even the trees and flora are the same, I used to walk the property a lot at night. And after dinner around 10 or 11 or so one of us would have to take all the food scraps and walk a couple feet into the forest to dump it with just a flash light. I’ve always had a fascination with this game. Anything to do with looking through the trees and you think something’s behind one is beyond terror I love it.🖤🤍❤️

A few years ago, I got to a national forest to start a bow hunt. We got there late. The post board showed pictures of 3 kids that went missing in the forest. We DID NOT sleep that night. we could even hear search party calling out for the kids. Thankfully they were found unharmed not too far from their home. I don't think I have seen you quite as flustered in your other horror playthroughs as you were with this one! Good on you Fooster for getting through it. This game is really well done with the ramp up of the tension. The excellent musical changes that just drive up the unease without you even really noticing, like that slow deep drum beat (almost a heartbeat). The incremental pursuit from Slenderman as well. Getting closer and closer with each sighting. I was extremely uncomfortable and I was just watching lol.

Charlie's screaming as he got taken, during the flashback at the hour mark, was so much more horrific in the original... look it up.😢 It also looks like they've made the game easier; during the mine bit where you first met the kid, you also had Slender Man himself to contend with; and in the farm section, you couldn't go into the grass for too long, etc.

10 years ago, (I was 8) I was constantly told to play it. I never did as of fear. However, I watched my classmates from time to time playing the game at school.
