What a list! So many absolute bangers in the first 6 minutes alone & it just keeps going. Dude, I thought I was the only one who didn’t like gods? It’s a great looking game but not much fun to play. Having said that after what you said about James Pond you’re dead to me. LOL! 😜 To let you in on a secret I’m not a big fan of Toki on the Amiga, oddly enough I played it most on the Atari Lynx. Secret of Monkey Island was an amazing game I have no problem going back too & to me at least it’s one of the most important games of all time, given it’s influence on games going forward. There are so many great games here that there are some I’ve never played like 4D boxing that I must check out. There are a bunch of games here that are graphically impressive given the hardware & a surprising number of 3D games that were fun & not just tech demos. Great video again, thanks.

Thanks a bunch! I just don't get Gods, it's slow, there's not much interesting happening, just waves upon waves of baddies and some switches. But yeah, it looks freaking amazing. :) And yeah, I myself don't get why I don't like James Pond when everyone else seems to love it. There's nothing wrong mechanically or presentation-wise with it. And it's not really even the colours cause Superfrog is colourful too and I love it. Perhaps it's just one of those unexplained secrets of the Universe and I was never meant to like it. LOL :) The list of titles for '92 looks real good too. I'm in the process of writing scripts so far, should be done in around 2-3 days. II'll also start recording gameplay tomorrow. That probably will take another 2-3. I mean these things happen at the same time, just different time of the day, and at different pace but yeah. Then the voice overs. I'd say this all should be done in around 4 days from tomorrow. And then editing. That usually takes around a day when I'm making small lists or reviews but recently those history of gaming videos take over 2 days to put together easily. So... A week for the next one. :)

@@OldAndNewVideoGames I have some nostalgia for James Pond 2 on the Genesis, I liked how it has a Christmas atmosphere in the hub castle outside and its visuals, I'm amazed on how many ports this game has, ranging from 16-bit, PS1, PS2 and even NDS. Nostalgia aside though, the game has little to offer in terms of gameplay, it's just not satisfactory control-wise and the character itself isn't as appealing as other platformers from the era. People on the internet, KZbin and elsewhere need to accept that each person has their own opinions, some are objective arguments which people blinded by nostalgy will never accept, while others are only preferences. The internet needs more self-assured content and people with this approach, otherwise it will be only a service for blind fans. Just like the gaming industry became from mid 00's onwards.

Thanks a lot! :) And I'll tell you how I look at my age. Time is an artificial concept created by humans (us?) to describe change and in some cases wear, basing it on movement of Earth around the Sun and around its own orbit. So, our age is the amount of times Earth revolved around the Sun plus some smaller bits based on that second metric. And all since we came into existence until now. But if we lived on another planet, we might as well would have been 250 now or 700, or even better - 8. It's very relative. So, as long as I feel like I can do what I want, how I want, and don't feel like I'm gonna fall apart from being tired after doing so, I'm not old in a general sense of the word. And if I do more with my mind now than body, unlike I did when I was a kid, it's not because I can't, it's because I'm experienced enough to know that I don't always have to.

Their cinematic feeling, the stories they can tell through this mature, often very lifelike medium are something that was just not possible back then. At least not as convincingly as they can be told now. So, I will not agree, that the modern systems lack anything. To be clear, I'm not saying that they're better than the classics were.
