I'm really happy to see you're still dedicated to making these well made videos, I still enjoy them to this day!

I remember watching it when it came out 10 years ago! I loved how the plushies used sound effects instead of just talking too, it was refreshing to see and it made you stand out from most plush youtubers at the time. I'll definitely be watching your remastered version, your channel was a big part of my childhood and I cant thank you enough.

seeing all these behind the scenery areas with the sets, backgrounds, all the little filming secrets, and the overall fun that was had while filming just warms my heart. the craftsmanship and attention to details really do make these series one of a kinds. especially mario's quest, probably one of the greatest youtube gems ever.

This was really fun to see, and I am just blown away by how much effort the two of you put into making Mario's Quest, it really shows your dedication as Mario fans, and also to great storytelling! ^_^ The magic of filming really makes you forget that most of these scenes were done in your room! It was really interesting to see all the little areas that were picked for each scene, and the boxes, papers, clips, pins and strings that were used in the background. It was also great to see some filming moments with your sister, and times when the light fell down or the camera tipped over are great for a laugh! XD Things like that happen to my brother and I sometimes when we film videos. :P Wow, I thought you might have used a sandbox for the desert scenes, but having a board filled with it on the desk was brave! :O It must have been a pain, especially when you got sand on the keyboard! How did it go with moving it afterwards? And I imagine you really had to brush off the plushes and vacuum the floor. :P It was cool to see how you covered your tracks for retakes, little things like that which you don't always think about when just watching the movie. I loved seeing the Wario and cactus scene! lol It's too bad it had to be cut, but yes, it would have been hard to place. Kolorado losing his hat would have also been cute, but I understand why it was cut. Its always nice when you find out the 'hidden functions' with cameras, but at the same time it's also frustrating when you wished you would have known about them earlier! lol The blackhole scene in the mansion was probably the most shocking to see the first time, I didn't expect it! :O For a one take wonder, it turned out incredibly well! I also really appreciated how well executed the Boo portrait trick was! :D Peach with E Gadd's glasses was probably one of the freakiest scenes! XD Was that just a joke between takes, or were you originally planning on including that? That was interesting with the moving wall, and it was funny when it fell that one time! lol I also really like how Boo's fight 'mirrored' the fight with King Boo in Super Mario 64 DS! :D The camera setup was also very interesting, it really worked well overall, even though there were times an arm was caught in the foreground! lol It was nice to see the deleted scene of Mario and Luigi leaving safely, even though it went a bit wrong in a few places! XD I guess the teleporting out onto the roof was a lot more visually interesting and ended the episode with more of a bang. The window scenes were neat to see, though Mario fell out that one time! XD Did it take a while to go and find him? lol That would have ended up like the opening to Paper Mario all over again! XD It looks like the window was still wet from previous rain in some scenes, I'm guessing that was filmed in the evening after the rainy day canceled your daytime scenes? It was interesting to hear how the weather effected filming. There really is a lot to consider when you want to make your scenes look good. :) Also, wearing dark clothing to hide your reflections as much as possible in the windows really worked out well. Wow, what nice improvements those clip stands are! :D They really hold it all together, am I right? lol Anyway, box scenes or clipped up scenes with careful cutouts, they are amazing and make the Mario Plush world really vibrant! ^_^ It's really hard to pick a favorite scene... I guess I was also sad when it looked like Yoshi died, but it made it all the sweeter to have him come back at the end at just the right moment, and it wasn't simply a 'Disney death cliché', it really had relevance to the plot and was a great twist! :D My favorite behind the scene's moment, was probably either Wario sits on a cactus cutscene, or showing how the blackhole scene and various parts around Boo's Mansion worked. :) 'Luigi is okay!' After being murdered by Death in the Simon Belmont trailer, and after getting sucked into a black hole in your room! lol
@goomzilla Жыл бұрын
Yeah so much of it was filmed in that one room, at different times of day and on different boards and backgrounds. We had to carefully tip the sand back off the board into its bag when we were done - lots of vacuuming was needed :P it's interesting actually that if I made this today, I would've tried harder to find a place for that Wario scene, and I would have included Kolorado's hat pickup as leaving it out didn't have any effect, other than maybe being a distraction, but it loses out on some potential charm. Peach wearing E. Gadd's glasses was probably only done because my sister will have seen Peach sitting nearby and tried the glasses on her, realising they fit her perfectly and looked really funny, so we recorded something random with them. That one was never going to be in it! And leaving by teleporting was exactly that, for more of a bang. Thankfully Mario was just sitting at the foot of the window after he fell out, but it happened a few too many times :P Part 6 was almost all filmed in December at night, I don't recall having any cancelled due to rain there, but it's a terrible time of year for filming by light as it's always so dingy. Luigi the Prankster looks so dark overall because it was filmed at that time of year too, and we had to use a lot more artificial light to compensate. Those are awesome favourite scenes, including a big part of the plot and my own favourite scene!

@goomzilla2 жыл бұрын
There are a lot of scenes which didn't make the cut for the outtakes actually, I was surprised how many I came across whilst preparing this video! I prioritised the ones which I thought were funnier, and avoided the ones which didn't make sense without context (like the one of Mario and Luigi leaving the ghost house, which they didn't do in the actual video!)

@ModernPlushCinema2 жыл бұрын
After seeing your videos from back then compared to today, it definitely shows how much you've changed as a Plush KZbinr. 😊 One thing I also try to do when making my own plush videos is trying to make sure the clips don't have too much image distortion. Video cameras have this feature where you can increase the light exposure on your camera, but the image becomes distorted and slightly desaturated. If you shoot a scene where there's more light, the distortion goes away, and the image becomes more saturated.
@goomzilla2 жыл бұрын
My camera back then was definitely a lot worse at handling the exposure on its own, but the current one seems to handle it mostly fine. It's interesting!

13:26 R.I.P. background scenery. Anyway, onto real matters, now I know the hardness difficulty of you and your sister making these videos and the props that you two use. That's... really hard to pull off, but you seemed to have fun doing some scenes at certain times (seeing as I heard laughter but I could be mistaken). The Quest series looks like its the hardest though, so I know we're not getting a fourth Quest series. Now if I had to pick a favorite scene in Mario's Quest, I guess it would be the Goombas Boss Fight in part 2. I don't know why, but I just like that for some reason. I would like to see a fourth Among Us video, but of course, I don't decide this, and would be hard to make, seeing as there were 8 different endings in the third video, and takes a lot of work and time. But I'll be looking forward to the next video! ...If there is a next video...
