Words cannot describe the grief I felt when Chuck was redesigned in 2012. I was just a kid back then and it still hurts to think that they changed everything about my favorite character growing up.

I grew up with both avenger and rockstar as a late 2000s kid so I can only imagine. And tbh I like both. It only took me years to properly find out that they went behind Duncan’s back without telling him and it still makes me mad

I didn’t actively despise Rockstar Chuck when the ads first aired. I was just shocked by it. He has grown on me. My outright favorite era of Rockstar was 2013-2014. I adore the shows from that time, especially Summer and September 2014. Post 2015 there has been a huge decline in show quality. Every character is a one dimensional slate with no personality other than “country dog” or “gamer girl chick.” Again, I don’t think Rockstar is the worst thing in the world, but there’s been too many questionable business decisions that have gone to bite them in the rear.

Rockstar has actually grown on me. Does that mean I like him better than Avenger? Hell no. I do kind of feel bad for him. He’s getting a lot of hate for stuff that could’ve happened even if Avenger was still around.

technically they did have puppets pre-2014, but it was exclusive for Studio C Stages. Now all stages, MMBB, Studio C, and 2.0 shows have puppets.@@Wandaismylittlesigma

At least Rockstar Chuck E. was less creepy than the last designs. I mean, the avenger era was pleasing to me in the commercials 2D animation, but when I went there during the avenger era at age 3, I was frightened by the animatronic and costume. Once the redesign happened, I felt like the new costume and animatronic design was less creepy. Despite all of that, I still think that the avenger era is very iconic. It’s the era that introduced me to the restaurant just like how the splat Nickelodeon logo introduced me to the channel.

The designs of the characters (CGI models are eh, the line art versions are better, the walkarounds I like, the puppets are amazing, the music (while some stuff is mid) is awesome, 2.0 (controversial opinion) is good, because of the design.

While Rockstar Chuck has sort of grown on me, I do hope that this fall, the company has a fresh new start for the 45th Anniversary, known as Mixer Chuck. He could keep the same rockstar outfit, while also change his head design, voice, and height to match Avenger.

Apparently, they DID have Rockstar PBS ads from 2012 to 2015 (2016 on some stations). I think after that though, they stopped making PBS ads all together.@@JulianeBubbles

I always despised Rockstar Chuck. Avenger era Chuck was what I grew up with and loved. I also loved the old Tux era Chuck as well. Rockstar Chuck doesn’t even resemble the actual character.
