I remember reading a Babysitters club Graphic Novel book back in 6th grade, and there was one scene with Bill cipher in it. The book was "Dawn and the Impossible Three" and he was referenced as a Children's toy. In Smiling Friends S2/E4 "Erm, The Boss Finds Love?" The book that Pim has in the scene in Charlie's apartment may be a reference to the Journals. It was a similar red with parts of the cover falling off, and gold on the corners, and important pages torn out. It may not be a reference, it may be, It's what you want to believe!
