This is the first time I have left a comment on your video. Your video is very important to me, especially during the Covid-19 lockdown in China from 2020 to 2023. This is a prison life of absurdity, crime, violence and fear for all. From time to time I was quarantined at home for long periods of time (week after week without an informing about how long) and there were a severe shortage of food. I stock up on coffee, tea, canned food, and rice and pasta. I set up the tent in the living room, and a lot of the time I lay in the tent with my Brompton outside, using VPN playing your videos to relax my brain. Because we don’t know how long the blockade will last, we may be taken to the isolation camp late at night by the “people who wear white cover”. I prepared my brompton, food and camping tools according to your book instructions. And be prepared to escape by bicycle if necessary and go camping in several places I have planned. Thank god never happen on me, and lockdown finished now (Maybe a pause), I've been on a lot of field trips this year. Fun fact is, even now about one and half year later ... I still not finish the food I stocked. Thank you very much, just let you know your video is life saving (mentally and physically), very unexpected right :)

How kind of you to share this! Covid was really a testing time for all of us and it was sure a relief to have seen the end of it! To have made a small contribution to help you manage those times is humbling. All I do is share my passion and inspire those like who enjoy this type of travel. My best wish to you is that you are now able to get on your Brompton and enjoy some wonderful rides! All the best.

So wonderful, and I agree with your philosophies about bike riding. I’m travelling solo from Budapest to Scotland on my Brompton, right now I’m in the Occitane region of France. Your videos persuaded me to switch and I have not had any reason to change my mind about my bike, she is working beautifully. Next, I think you’ll have to come and visit us in Australia😊

Hello Gianni, do the airlines accept your backpack as hand luggage? I bought a sea to summit 50l dry river backpack. Won’t pack it fully. Maybe it’s an option for you too. It has great features. Only downside is no place for bottles. And thanks a lot for your Great videos, very inspiring. Watched them all and bought my own Brompton.
@BromptonTraveler
@BromptonTraveler 3 ай бұрын
That is always a tricky question to answer. Airlines have different policies as far as hand luggage and then it depends if you travel long haul or short haul with a low cost airline. Most airlines on long haul are more lenient with a backpack but I always try to squash mine down as much as possible to make it look as small as I possibly can! On low cost the only option is to pay for some extra luggage to bring on board and usually they are not too fussy as far as you have paid something. Thanks!

Saludos cordiales LU7DZM

I enjoy your videos. In 1986 i cycled the east coast of the u.s.a. mostly flat. I am a coaster 😊 nice and slow. I did not document it in any way, my loss. Today i am riding a brompton m6r but she doesn't like to coast, mythical brompton drag. Any tips. Thanks, keep on truckin.
@BromptonTraveler
@BromptonTraveler 2 ай бұрын
Smaller wheels inevitably add to the drag. I find this is more true if you have a Brompton with no luggage. When I carry a bag at the front and one at the back, as I do when I travel, the bike weight does make it roll better. Of course there is a trade in when using a Brompton. Thanks.

@@BromptonTraveler You can put the Brompton inside the trailer, it’s so good it would give you a whole new concept in backpacking = without doubt very surprised people who do lots of backpacking or camping haven’t caught on to this unit = it’s so good it’s ridiculous.

@@BromptonTraveler It will change your whole travelling experience, try contacting radical design and tell them you would like to do some travel videos and incorporate a bike trailer as the star in the videos , would they be prepared to loan a trailer for review.
