It's tricky. I'm one of your subscribers that just likes your character. I've never really been bothered by any one type of thing you do. I can see how it fosters a slow growth on KZbin, but I think it should also mean that your channel will never die. Your channel grows and evolves as you do. Some channels are so boxed in with a type of content, that subscribers lash out when they try do something different. Just stay true to you and keep looking for ways to get better (in a healthy manner) and you'll be golden. :) big fan

The mistake I made this week was talking about the Hey Arnold movie apparently. I got the yellow demonetization sign and requested a manual review, but they said that it was still valid and now I can't request a manual review on that video anymore. There was nothing suggestive about the tags, the video, or the description at all. If you ask me, KZbin's been making a lot of mistakes this year and letting smaller creators suffer because of it.

Hello Dr.Dre!! What I think you should do is CAPITALIZE on your Black Nerd name, yet STILL continue to do the things you're known to do. 1.) For instance, you should CONTINUE to do the Movie & Trailer Reviews/Reactions, but NOW, start doing commentary on DVD/movie releases. What should you comment on you say? Well, commenting on the movie itself is not really necessary, because more than likely: a.) We've already seen't it. b.) You've probably already reviewed it, and we've seen that video. But HERE is what you CAN comment on: the EXTRAS. The Directors Cut, the Outtakes, the special features and things like that. And comment on the how these things fit into the overall narrative/theme of what the DVD/movie arc is going for. 2.) If you don't do this already, start capitalizing on your Black Nerd theme, by commenting not only on interesting video games, but the video game console & WHICH games works/plays the best (game play experience) with WHICH console & does it LIVE UP to the overall theme the game was TRYING to achieve?? I'd honestly rather see you still make " funny videos" ..Like I support your reviews and I know they lead to easier views due to relevancy but the content I liked the most was more comedic. I think back to when you had a random skit in a video with a song " I GOT A BIG BUTT" ...That kind of appeal has been lost with the modern Andre. So to answer your question, I guess I'd support you focusing on either movie reviews or animation (80s and modern) as long as you can inject some of that Andre flavor we all fell in love with.

So, I just started my family channels a couple weeks ago and went in knowing that creators get burnt out AND don’t want to pigeonhole themselves into specific content if they plan on creating a variety channel. We’re going to do seasons. We’ll create vids about whatever we decide to create each season, so every season we can do something different, and we can still post random “nonspecific” type content between seasons to keep people interested. Maybe a plan like that would work for you. Good luck!

Thank you for posting this Andre. Sorry I'm only getting to it now. I don't follow any real schedule when it comes to watching videos. So it's been a challenge pushing myself to stay regular when posting my own. But I'm improving and I appreciate the input of what that all can mean. I will tell you, I originally subscribed to your channel right in the midst of your "Black Nerd Raaaants!" And over a short time, I learned to distinguish between that semi-character of yours and the full on Andre Meadows we all know and love. And, ultimately, it's the Andre that has kept me coming back. Your videos are bright, informative, entertaining, personable and, generally, quite short! I dread the rare times my videos start to push the 20/30 minute mark. I just don't think a lot of people want to watch videos that long these days. I know I have a hard time watching something like a review if it goes much further past 10. Most of the time, anyway. As for content ideas, hmm... Maybe a story time segment of how you've come across the many people you have collaborated with over the years. I've always been a of your crossovers with Doug Walker and James Rolfe, such as the arcade episode. It would be interesting to hear stories about your travels to and from, or just how you met each one. It wouldn't always have to have those people in it, as I know that can be hard to plan.

Andre, Im just gonna say this: there are a TON of "Nerdy" channels out there, and a lot of times, those communities can make you feel pressured to know everything about Star Wars, or Marvel, or DC, and if you don't you can be treated like you're less-than. I love your channel Andre because you unapologetically talk about Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers, the Disney Afternoon programs, etc, and the passion in those videos is real. I remember watching you sing awful Nickelodeon sitcom theme songs, and it was the nerdiest thing in the world. I've been watching your stuff for years and loving your comedic commentary on nerdy, innocuous content like Ninja Turtles and Batman. You've got just the kind of personality that can cause me to relax and mindlessly enjoy watching you talk/rant/whatever for ten minutes or however long the video ends up being. To answer your question at the end of the video...I originally subscribed for your TMNT episode recaps (I think? I love whatever you put out, but there are some things I wish you did. I'm not criticizing or anything, and I'm definitely not trying to trigger your anxiety, but I would like if you uploaded more. Whatculture Wrestling do a genius thing where they have different shows about the news, why something happened recently, etc. And it has a team of hosts. Like you have had Katie as a regular crossover guest and been one on her show. Maybe have like a team channel where everyone chimes in on different videos dedicated to THE channel. You have a show, you AND Katie share a show, she has a show, Lamarr Wilson or one of your other friends have a show... but it all dovetails into vaguely the same pop culture franchise interest in general.

Long time fans here and after years of having this profile we finally went and made it an official channel and are starting to create content that I can only really describe as 'historical' (?) so people have a little backstory on us before we start making youtube only content. I think there's lots of different cultures in KZbin. There's the memey H3H3 culture, an alt left/right community, vlogs and trending challenges. Each group including the ones I couldn't mention off the top of my head have a unique vibe and you get a certain feeling when you are watching a video part of your group.

It's always awesome to see you adlib jokes, and I dig the positive energy no matter the subject. But IF I had to pick a specific niche, I would say FILM REVIEWS because the catch phrases are GENIUS. "Imma give you the good, Imma give you the bad, Imma give the nerrrrdyyy." Haha love that. For me, saying that along with video is half the fun! But I like the reaction videos too. The adlib jokes and animated reactions are what makes them stand out from all the rest. I'll be honest, I've always figured that your videos had a unifying theme with your past (It helps that a lot of the shows and characters from the 80s are still relevant and so there is a lot for you to talk about. If not Smurfs, Turtles, or Power Rangers, Marvel and D.C comics are still doing things. Even Archie.) and the things you enjoyed, sure there were new focuses, but it was intriguing to see what an old perspective's take was to a newer content that exists throughout various medium. Rants, reviews (ninty or movie), and the occasional skit I enjoy. Weirdly enough, I never follow things like smurfs and TMNT, but your videos on them make these series interesting. Must be because of how much you care about these franchises and the interest can be projected to others.

I subscribed for the (Black Nerd Rants) but i will watch anything he puts out. He put me on to Lamar Wilson and Curious Joi. Honestly i don't watch those two channels as much as i use to because they tend to put themselves in a box, but Andre videos even if i don't watch the entirety of the video i still click and peek.

Andre. I’ve been watching u forever and your the reason I found KZbin. I will alway watch your videos no matter what. But one thing I really do miss is the old classic black nerd rants! About movie news, video games, and nostalgia!

Honestly Andre, I was a long time subscriber a few years back, I want to say I started watching your vids in 2012 and they are what really got me into watching KZbin regularly. I liked what you were doing at the time so much that I went back and watched ALL of your previous vids, and I thought to myself, I said "Self, why are we even watching TV anymore when this guy is so much more intertaining??" And then about two years ago you started to focus on your reviews... A LOT. (Quite a bit about TMNT and Power Rangers.) I'm not saying that they weren't good or interesting, but there were a lot of them and not much of the content that I'd originally started watching you for. I was really big on your Rants, and I enjoyed your ATWG segments, I suppose that since I came into your fan base about five years in that I didn't really notice that you didn't have a consistent upload schedule to begin with. However when I didn't see anymore of the content that I was used to seeing and the focus was on the one thing that I was least interested in I hit the unsubscribe button and only looked to see if there were any new vids that I was interested in every now and then. That went on for about a year and then I stopped looking. Only checking in with you when I thought I'd like to get your take on a current movie or show that may have been out at the time. I came to you today to see your vid on the Last Jedi, and happen to see the thumb nail for this video. And I resubscribed. It's good to know that you are aware of your short comings, and that you are looking to, I don't want to say fix... Adjust them maybe..? Anyway! You are still my favorite play cousin. Keep up the good work man.

One of my problems is not making videos on the regular. I started it up, but college really became hectic. That and I’m still trying to find my niche with this.
