People are Nigeria are beginning to turn to an alternative form of building, that is building houses with shipping containers and steel instead of the traditional cement, blocks and bricks. so in the city of lagos I found a company that builds houses from shipping containers and steel. They invited me over to one of their construction sites. So I spoke with the CEO.

My dear this is a very good copy cat housing solutions, this has been on going in advance country, it isn’t our original invention, but that’s not to say it’s not good like I mentioned earlier, but I think it will be appreciated if it solves housing problems for Nigerians, $100k, how many of us can afford it, imagine if 50% Nigerian can afford it at a lower price, it will open the eyes of Nigeria Government to adopt to sort out housing problems, at this point this isn’t a solution to housing in Nigeria.

As the Engineer mentioned in the video, this is not for everyone and it's not an alternative to the housing problem in Nigeria. Besides, as he also mentioned, this very structure can be built for far less than this very one cost depending on the finishing, the reason why this very structure is very expensive is because of the finishing the client decided to put in. You can still build this very structure for half the price or even below that depending on the finishinh you decide to put in. This is the same with concrete structures.

Yes it is, so I thought too. But again if you check how much it cost to buy a 2Bedroom apartment around lekki/Ajah area, it cost around the same amount or a little bit more. The problem is, these apartments are very small and are a bit limiting, with a container or a steel structure like this one, you get 5 times more value in terms of space, customization, and choice of location. But again like the man said in the video, it's not for everyone
