hi Ben, at what stack size would you consider limp-shoving low pocket pairs (22-66) in small/big blind scenario? Is this the optimal play at around 25-30 bb??
@RaiseYourEdge6 жыл бұрын
yeah around 30bb is perfect!

I dont think that the J9o call from pessagno vs your JTs is a bad call, your range consists in medium PP and suited broadways , so around 7% you probably shove JJ+ so you have 66-TT, 98s, T9s, JTs, QTs+. KTs+, ATs and AJs, AQo and KQo. Your check shove range in a 977 board is basically TT for value and maybe T9s and 98s for value/ deny eq from EP villain range, for semi bluff you have two overs and flush draw and two overs and gut shot (JTs), villain EP cbet is super standard and he is going to do with 100% of his range , pessagno is going to defend around 30-40% and your range only hits this board around 30%. It all comes down how wide the first opener cbet v 2 people and what does it open in that position, if he opens around 27% of his range and has a cbet of around 70%+ and v2 60%+ he should call even with your jam, also he has 10BB so if he is in a spot ok for gamble he is goin to take it.
@RaiseYourEdge6 жыл бұрын
I am not shoving any medium pair here. I shove strong FDs that against his J9 at least have 1 overcard + flushdraw but most of the time 2 overcards and/or a gutshot. I would also shove my 7x hands since there is a fd present. Given that the board is paired and there is still UTG involved and will call overpairs he is drawing to 2 outs if he is behind and flipping if he is ahead. This is clearly a mistake :)

great content as always Ben...you have an advice for partypoker grinders, now that they have banned using HUDs completely...it just began to be my most profitable sites...now I think about leaving PP...no HUD and playing online is like playing naked live haha

@Jeroeny6 жыл бұрын
Hey Ben, thnx for the video! Bought the Bounty course last week but still grinding your KZbin vids as well! At 32:58 middle bottom table with QTs. I thought you would always x back your strong draws because you don't want to face a x/jam with it. And b/f your weaker draws. Here for example. Do you consider QT a strong draw? Because I would. 2 overcards and a gutshot. Hands like J7s and T6s(except spades) would be better b/f right?
@RaiseYourEdge6 жыл бұрын
Against his range consiting of a ton of AQ AK that checks a flop, QTs has a ton of equity and I dont want to bet/fold here thus we should check back a ton here. On the river I know that he likes to herocall with A high in these spots and I have an easy check back.
@RaiseYourEdge6 жыл бұрын
I would probably bet QJ on the flop and some KTs/KJs with bd fd

@RaiseYourEdge6 жыл бұрын
there are a lot of theory's 1-3% of your bankroll should be your buy in but of course you can take shots.
@andresantana78766 жыл бұрын
at 5:32 why don't you cbet the K6s on 5J5 board, top left corner table ? because he still has more 5x hands than you ? what would be your cbet range on that board ? thanks for another video, keep up the good work !

But studying his style. I'm gonna guess one of two reasons. A lot of back door equity that doesn't wanna bet fold. Or also when u play 1234565432 tables at a time. You occasionally miss a Cbet.

I try to avoid 1k spins, but they still run on evenings CET. I guess when the action is hot to get games run and not split people (fishes) too much between 500s and 1ks. And you can limp in even 92o 12bb deep if your opponent does not ISO raise or ISO shove combined over like 30%. VBV1990 is considered the best HUSNG player and he can limp even 72o 10bb if he thinks opponent plays passive enough
@DaoBeat6 жыл бұрын
Also fishes too often fold to cbet in limped pots HU

Hello Bencb I want to ask you if you can explain me why do you go all in with 22 ( 12:51)? In my opinion is not well played I hate to risk with 22 "all in" especially in that position. Just want to know why we should go all in on that spot? Thank you very much, you are the best player in my opinion ever in poker. And big respect for you because I have learn a lot of things from you.
@MultiChaim6 жыл бұрын
Sergio the all in is for 2,5 bbs, so its dead money we pick up from cutoff with a pair... from early position we fold of course, but with our stack we jam wirh any pair from highjack +
@RaiseYourEdge6 жыл бұрын
exactly @chaim! Sergio, it is not about what you dont like, it is about what the math says. With all the deadmoney and against UTG who will shove at least 35%+ of his range, we have enough equity and we only have 8bb. So a good spot to ishove and most of the time we are flipping which is good given our stacksize.
@jankot2806 жыл бұрын
I paused when I noticed this spot (so I wasn't effect oriented ) because I thought it is marginal spot and then I saw that big blind has 2,3 bb which I thought made this spot unprofitable. So I run HRC calulations with winner takes all (chip ev) and it turns out that in case the big blind would have bigger stack like 11 bb, 22 would generate +0.01 bb so it would be marginal especially it isn't actually winner takes all situation so if we would concider ICM (like I also did approximately for ITM) it would make this spot -EV. And it is about -0.27bb when taking ICM consideration (aproximate) and that BB has 2,3bb stack and should not fold any hand there. Anyway it is a great video with LOADS of usefull knowledge!

At 22:00 the QJs on the bounty 530, shouldn't you shove the river as a bluff instead of betting around 40%pot? Because you would want to bet your value hands with all in sizing right to get the bounty? I know we dont need to be balanced in these kinds of spots, but dont you think in a bounty builder an opponent can read into this sizing pretty easily and make alot of hero calls with (66,88,99).
@RaiseYourEdge6 жыл бұрын
No, think about the range you are attacking. His Khighs and flushdraws and underpairs. I would also bet with this sizing some value hands.
@louisvanniel68656 жыл бұрын
Raise Your Edge Oke that make sense what value hands would you have there a5 a4? Thanks for the reply and keep crushing everything!
