@anonymoususer31128 жыл бұрын
Both are easy in different respects, bass is easier in the fact there is the lack of two other strings, but guitar is easier in the way that there's less ways of pf playing, since slapping is very rare on guitar. You can't really compare them on an easiness scale since they're two completely different instruments.

FļašhiňgÐuð3 not at all if you knew anything about music you would know a bass is not a guitar, yeah some people call them bass guitars but it is nothing like a guitar, look at RHCP for example and muse
@brianbradshaw75407 жыл бұрын
FļašhiňgÐuð3 There is a misconception that if you can play guitar, you can play bass as well and vice-versa - it's not that simple. Bass guitars generally have longer frets and use different types of strings which can take time to get used to - not to mention bassists generally play strings with their fingers, not a plectrum (though both are accepted ways to play). Also bass players don't generally play the chords a guitarist would play, they play outside the chords. To make better sense a tutor told me a guitarist would say the whole word, for example they would say 'dog' but a bassist would spell it out, "D-O-G" - bassists have the same end goal as guitarists but go about it differently. It's a different art to playing a guitar and is a learning curve all the same.

I can’t get over the fact that the bassline for Ice Ice Baby is so strikingly similar to Under Pressure (feat. David Bowie) by Queen
@graysonwalters64014 жыл бұрын
It’s the same song, ice ice baby is a sampled version of under pressure. It was very popular to sample songs in the early hip hop era.

@@graysonwalters6401 its a staple of hip hop period to sample songs. Hip hop has a rich history of musical and lyrical allusion, pretty awesome facet of it

I literally said it was very popular meaning that it was a staple or whatever. Acting like you know everything about hip hop doesn’t make it credited man, so yeah you are a jackass

It could be classed as a bassline since it's put down an octave from normal guitar tuning which is where a bass plays

Legendary bass licks you thought were bass licks (but arent bass licks)
@tcc3008926 жыл бұрын
The word "Bass" primarily describes the register. If you play single notes low on a keyboard it's still a bassline.
@ethansics94006 жыл бұрын
Tove Yeah, but it’s a pedal doing it. I wouldn’t consider it a bassline personally but to each his own. Was trying to make a joke, not spark a debate

The first 4 bass lines I ever learned were Dance Dance (Fall Out Boy), Tiffany Blews (Fall Out Boy), Animal I Have Become (Three Days Grace), and of course 7 Nation Army (White Stripes). They really got me started on the right path and I'd recommend them to anyone wanting to learn to play.

BONES13 is cool Dance Dance was my first. I think it's a great starter one because it's fairly simple but it's not just one or two notes over and over again, so you actually feel like you're doing something
