You might enjoy The Broken Girls by Simone St. James. Paranormal murder mystery with duel timelines and takes place mostly at a 1950's home/school for troubled girls, I don't know that I would classify it as dark academia though. It was really enjoyable for spooky season when I read it!

The music for this video is perfect. And I am deep into Follow Me To Ground, and I am enjoying it so much. Redder days sounds amazing though and it is definitely on my tbr. The Gilda Stories by Jewelle Gomez is another gothic classic if you are interested, this one involving a black sapphic vampire, and this is a book that I adore. Macbeth would probably also be good to read at this time of year.

If you end up reading Practical Magic, I'd really be interested what you think of it. I found it incredibly boring, predictable and surprisingly sexist, despite it being written by a woman. Controversial one!
