You honestly need the hp batteries for the impact

This is the older non HP modem impact also. On the box it says p261k but the new impact is p262

I have the same tool and had the same problem. It’s the battery issue. Just called the warranty and sent new one and works perfectly fine.

I have that impact and the trigger issue on mine seems to happen when you pull the switch all the way back/on quickly. If you pull the switch slowly it doesn't happen. At least that's my experience. It also is only rated at 300ftlbs so it's not as powerful as my other 1/2 cordless impacts. I leave it in my truck incase I need to change a tire for myself or someone else. It does seem powerful enough to break loose most lug nuts. It's worth the $100 I paid but I wouldn't pay the regular price which is what it has gone back up to.

Mine did the same thing. Also it does take off my lug nuts at 110 ft trq ...but would not remove my shocks or sway bar links which aren't torqued at 110. And I also got the intermittent stoppage . Think it will go back for upgraded modle. Bc my impact driver can do better damn near.

10:20 time stamp you said it was a brushless motor this is a brushed unit. You should have spent the extra $59 for the new hp brushless one bro

Corrected my self in the next video. I did spend the extra, lol.

With an impact you should be wearing some eye protection . Especially at work.

battery, charger, wrench, and carry bag, just like the Autojare except that that comes with the sockets, too. Supposedly, the Ryobi is much better though! ;-)

It's a Ryobi is doing what you wanted to do why spend more? The battery packs are cheaper also. Ryobi has committed to the 18 volt battery pack so you don't end up with a bunch of battery packs that are obsolete because you bought a new tool. The only thing I have found wanting is there doesn't seem to be a high-capacity charger or rapid charge in other words. The solution is to have 3 or 4 batteries and keep them charged period also keep in mind most people stare at Ryobi in professional fields so if your tool boxes loaded with the Ryobi so it won't steal you they will go steal from the guy with the Milwaukee or the DeWalt. All I can say is it was doing the job and why worry about it? I've always had to work hard for my money and I'm sure you do too so why spend more than you need to On Tools. If you get the earthquake with the 2-year extended warranty if it breaks you just working to Harbor Freight end of the tool and I'll hand you another one no jumping through hoops for warranty work.

Good video, I just bought one last week and its doing the exact same thing. Irritating as hell.

Thankyou for making this video. Very informative. I like the wrench too, did it resolve itself fixed? The reason asking is, perhaps the switch just needs some contact cleaner. I would like to purchase, but am not sure. Thankyou.
@TurninandStuff3 жыл бұрын
No, it didn't. The more I use it, the more I think it's a battery issue. I'm going to buy the 262 next week and see if what happens with that. Thanks for the view!

Well, for what it's worth, did some research about what others were saying the issue speed 3 intermittent on/off and there are replacement switches. There was someone else also saying battery too; battery circuit. However, perhaps try some contact cleaner. On both the trigger and switch up top. You may have to open it up. I have had to use crc contact cleaner in new equipment just to get things working. Hey, for 99$ it looks like a very useful tool. By the way, p262 looks promising.

That's stinks that you had to take it back. Just awaste of time to find out it's the same. Reminds me time is most valuable.

I have 2 of these, mine has done this with only one of my batteries I own for some reason.
@mosinnagantfan3 жыл бұрын
Update, it is the battery contacts inside the gun that was the issue with mine apparantly. Like I said it was only one of my batteries that it did this with and that was a knock off battery. You can look up inside the handle and see the battery contacts, Im thinking about taking a screwdriver and trying to pry those contacts and maybe bend them out a little but I may just not use that particular battery in it any longer.
