so I recently built a Aurelia Voltron list and it is really fun one to play. you have got me to realize how satisfying it is to say second combat.

Glad you like it! It’s best when someone outside the game is walking by the table and hears “combat #2” and they like whaaat?

@@CommanderReplay exactly, I'm normally a aristocrats player but when I get to do this it's just a really great feeling.

Great content as always, but I am curious: Why Moonlight Bargain? Sure it is instant speed, but it costs 5 mana, it's best ability (putting cards into your graveyard) has zero synergy with the rest of your deck, and black has so many better budget card draw options that I don't see in your deck list (Night's Whisper, Ancient Cravings, Sign in Blood, Wretched Confluence, Succumb to Temptation to name a few). The same goes with Promise of Power. I hear you talk about that card a lot and while drawing 5 cards for 5 mana is a good rate, it's just so very slow and I often see you put it into decks where the 3 black mana is difficult to assemble. Is it a pet card? I hope this doesn't come across as rude, I am honestly curious about your reasoning for playing Promise over some of the other, less mana intensive black draw spells.

I talked about it a bit. Promise of Power BBB is tough on a budget mana base, but the rate of mana and life loss is fantastic. Sign in Blood, and the other draw 2 just aren't enough cards. You could easily run ambitions cost ancient craving but my 4CMC was already crowded for this deck, so I decided to go for moonlight. The instant speed is nice if you need to hold up other stuff, the mana cost is easier, and it fits the curve better, and actually draws enough where nights whisper just isn't high impact enough outside of fast combo decks. The only real downside is the lifeloss which is easy enough to offset in this deck so I think its worth it. It was basically the only draw we really needed this game.

@@CommanderReplay Hmm, interesting. I can definitely see the power of drawing 5 for 5 mana, but I can't say I really agree with your opinion on Sign in Blood and Night's Whisper. The difference between being able to cast a draw spell and something else the same turn vs only a draw spell is quite large. I do appreciate you providing your reasoning though. It gives me something to think about when evaluating Moonlight Bargain for my Glissa deck

On that last turn, not that it necessarily mattered, you could've just shot out the ultimatum and blown up all of his things and killed with commander damage.

Krenko kingpin, dreadhorde invasion, and outlaws merriment are all good budget ways to keep bodies on the field ancient craving, read the bones, and night’s whisper maybe for budget draw

You do know Blood Baron of Viskopa doesn’t work with Snapdax right? It’s a cool card and all but not in this deck.
