I have a sketchbook with the exact same paper I use as a personal journey journal I write, draw and do full colour illustrations in, it's "fuzzy", extremely cottony soft and almost impossible to work on until I learned a little quick trick recently. I watered down a little bit of matte gesso then applied a couple of quick coats before I dried it with a blow dryer. It doesn't take forever to dry like when you'd apply gesso normally because it's so thinned out, you only want it to smooth down the fuzziness without loosing the softness of the paper itself. I normally use colour pencils and gel pens so I haven't tried markers on it yet and I'm not sure how actual watercolour's would do despite Derwent graphitent holding colour on a test page I made in the back. Just wanted to pass on what I've tried that has worked with some success without causing a huge mess. I love the second character by the way!

My vote is for Electra, I love the concept, she looks like a powerful storm sorceress and I’d love to see her revisited. I love watching this challenge it’s such a fun idea and the characters are really creative!
