Props for showing a losing game to a player with a lower title than you as an instructive moment. Very refreshing

How is this a tip that only GMs know if your FM opponent knew it? He’s only 2500! A total patzer! Don’t support these guys…

I vividly remember that I also moved my queen to the g4 square once in one of my games. And I'm only a 300 elo noob. This Aman guy totally screwed up here.

I never thought Qg4 would be so useful. Especially suits positional players and attacking players

Great video! I frequently get a position against the Owens where I used to play Qh5, threatening checkmate on h7 with my light squared bishop as backup. I kept finding the attack would stall out, though. I evaluated it with the engine, and it gave Qg4 as the best move, even though it didn't have as clear of an immediate threat. Sure enough, I've been finding my attacks are much more successful with the more patient move. But I didn't really think about it as a generally useful move outside that line. I do know Qh5 is best in some lines- would be curious to know if there are some rules-of-thumb on when to go to g4 vs h5.

@ h5 is a spicy move because you’re weakening your kingside and you’re not castling. You’ll probably have to go f6 as well at some point. Big Mio has a video on a lot of variations with the Qg4 line worth checking out.
