** IMPORTANT ** (as of August 21, 2023) To people who might want to request more or different 100 days (minecraft or any game): I am no longer making anymore 100 days, So please do not comment requesting more because that will get ignored. Reasons for this is in the description (ignore the first part of number 3 in the list below) *************** Before you comment, please read this: These are some common things I see in my comment feed. 1. Why bridge? A: I was making the bridge to hopefully show off the different versions throughout my world, and the changes. 2. Why did he not show his builds? A: I did not think about that during production of this video. I made up for it by showing this part of the world in the Beta versions video. Please stop commenting about this, I couldn't even change it even if I wanted to. 3. To the people who comment "When are you going to make another 100 Days?" on other videos that are not 100 days (or plan to do this). A: I am making one (NO LONGER TRUE) . I have a post on my community tab that tells more information. Please stop posting that question on other videos specifically. Going to other videos and commenting it won't change anything. (I don't care if you comment that on this video or any other 100 days videos I've made but if you do want to know more, please read the post) I'm making this comment so it can hopefully answer some people's questions and clear up some confusion. :) - Jason

I started playing Minecraft sometime in very early Alpha, but one of the most memorable updates in Minecraft will always be the Nether update. Was at a friends for a party, sometime later in the night someone mentioned it updated and we all huddled around the computer, drunk as a skunk exploring the nether together for the first time. We were all freaking out as it was now spooky. Good times.

@@jasonthesmarty Not having health automatically regen and food not stack made mobs so scary. It's why so many of us "old" Minecraft players complain about the hunger update. It completely changed the nature of the game. I liked that if I was good enough I could mine infinitely so long as I could dodge skeleton's arrows. I liked that team based PVP was often about who could churn out the most food as people kept losing it when they died, and that higher quality food had a strategic value in that it gives more hearts per inventory space. But I still loved post-release Minecraft. It wasn't until they started going crazy with additions that I started preferring older versions to new ones.

And it also makes me a bit sad because just months later, beta 1.8 came out which started taking the game in a direction that even at the time I didn't like. The magic gradually vanished. Part of that of course is just the novelty wearing off, but I still think it was a mistake to change the game's atmosphere so drastically.

its way more simple and less complex which is just kind of peaceful

Saw this in KZbin homepage and my god... What a fantastic video and as you perfectly said from 16:22 onwards. Got such nostalgia despite not playing this version (my first one was Beta 1.7.3). Minecraft was so good when it was just a simple game

thats the best 100 days minecraft video. Continuing this world into beta versions could be interesting
