Love seeing this DC-6 being put to another use. I worked on many of them (C-118’s) in a Navy cargo squadron over 50 years ago.

It’s been awesome to help with it and see the progress… I’m still amazed at how awesome they are turning out. Proud of the work you’re doing!

Can’t wait to see the T-tail deck when finished. Hot tub on the wing tip of triple 8dg would be great.

Great work, what this made me think most of is how many trips to Menards we make when doing a rehab. You certainly need to plan well with an unusual build AND remote location! ✈️ 🤔

Thanks for making me an idiot LoL talking to a friend at Everts about putting one on my property in North Pole LoL I miss working on those old birds. I am 65 and been flying since 1977 and no I don't have my license I had been flying on my student license until the paper license went away I was grounded. No people not good to fly the way I did but I was a mechanic, crewchief and flight engineer on CH47 Chinook helicopters in Alaska high altitude search and rescue so I have extreme experience above and beyond normal aviation people I spent 9 years in the Army six and half years flying in Alaska then back as civilian.

I'm curious on the overall completed cost of one of these airplane houses vs a similar sized wood framed house.
@fly8ma.comflighttraining199 Жыл бұрын
Airplane house runs about $1,000/ sq ft, stick frame about $100-200/sq ft

If you have a air strip, can you fly the airplane in instead of chopping it up and shipping by truck?
@AkPacerPilot Жыл бұрын
It’s pretty short and soft field, too short and too soft for those big birds.. great for landing big tire bush planes… the new crosswind strip is fantastic.

Are there people in the past who have converted airplanes into homes? Yes. But there are only a handful in the world that you can stay in as a Airbnb and even less have showed an audience the process of said conversion.
