For all who want to build it far away from your base and don't want to run five times: 2 Smelters 3 Foundries 8 Constructors 4 Assemblers Now you can just add it to your To-Do List and gather everything beforehand. Also take some additional Materials for Splitters, Mergers, Belts, Miners, Power and Foundation with you. Have fun building it :)

Take some iron ore, (re)build the hub. Make what you need on-site.
@LifesGuardian Жыл бұрын
Great build, as always! I realize this vid is 5 months old, but one thing I have done with most of your builds is trying to save some space by cramming the logistics. Meaning instead of placing splitters/mergers in the middle of a row, put them just at the end of the machine leaving the rest of the row for more machines or for the logistics for the next row of machines. Can't do it effectively all the time as sometimes the inputs and outputs don't line up just right, but it's good to do when you can to save space. I know this series is geared toward newer players and doing it your way makes it much easier to follow, but I've found that doing it this way usually leaves enough room to add a sink to the build. That way, once the storage fills, you can generate coupons with the rest. Also, adding sinks to the builds would be helpful too since most newer players aren't really thinking about it and just let the machines get bogged down when the storage gets full. If not, then a gentle reminder at the end of the build/vid like "Don't forget to place a smart/splitter before the storage and split the output to a sink to avoid wasting productivity." Something like that. I know when I was new, as if I'm not still a total novice, I never thought of them and always felt like I was wasting time and resources and never had any coupons for those cool upgrades/cosmetics.

Hey man, I love these videos so much. My inability to find the right layouts for these factories was starting to genuinely upset me and I almost gave up on this game, despite having tons of fun. My wife isn't huge on most of the games I play and she hates building games so I was pleasantly surprised she got super absorbed into the small exploration aspect of this game. With your last few videos on the layouts I have found joy again and I love that you just make these for people. Thanks again

Thanks so much for this build, I got a big wad of spaghet going which got me to Phase 2 of the space elevator and I finally decided to look up some tips on saving space while being more efficient. Your video made me curious about underclocking so I looked up some videos on why you would. It never occurred to me that if you underclock to match the next machine input requirements in the chain it saves you power drain on the overall grid, allowing you to build more with less power used.

Just want to say, loved this and the Automated Cable layout. It was very convenient that Automated Cable only needed 22.5 in both Iron Ore and Coal, so the beginner place on the Grassy Planes perfectly fit the bill (2 normal iron, 1 pure coal, and 1 normal copper all Mk.2 Miners). The underclocking stuff isn't very clear, but I think assuming those that needed to be underclocked are always the right side should be a OK.

I would absolutely love an efficient layout of a nuclear plant, all the way to sinking the waste as plutonium rods. I've seen a couple on youtube, but there's always something missing (too compact so you can't everything, or they don't list efficiency numbers). Loving your content! The step-by-step process is extremely helpful.

@dagg49711 ай бұрын
You need Limestone, coal and iron for Heavy Modular frames. Nortwest works but quite the distance between the things across the rocky desert. By the lake at easy start midwest you have everything you need within walking distance. And by far most material is at northeast super large deserr. But i guess it depends on your stsrting location. I´m new in this game and I wanted to know, why in the 70% of times I have to use MK1 Belts instead of (for example) MK2? It's because of the Underclocking or it´s because of something else?

nice, but please specify which machine is the "second one" when setting production rates, one assembler will receive iron rods first and the other one will receive the reinforced plates first, so "second one" doesn't really exist here.

they both come in from the left hand side. The iron goes in the bottom splitter manifold, and the coal on the top one.

love the design! I was wondering is there a reason why you lower the production percent of some buildings? Will it be bad if i dont?
@Yzorixul Жыл бұрын
i'd guess it's so that everything runs smoothly. if you have all at max, they start to stutter because they don't get enough to run at full speed. This creates unnecessary power spikes and the need to produce more power overall because you have to compensate for the spikes.
@spectrumdad_ Жыл бұрын
pretty much what Yzorixul said, just to avoid power spikes and reduce the overall power consumption of the build.
