I lost my niece on Christmas Eve 2014 to a drunk driver & I have seen the torture and pain that my sister and brother-in-law endure everyday. I think of you both everyday and I pray that God brings you comfort and healing. My heart aches for you both and your family. Thank you for sharing your lives with us, I know it isn't always easy. As for the challenge binder, I NEVER felt that y'all were "begging" for money. You all are loved by us and we reach out to help with open hearts and open hands. How exciting about your new job and that it lets you stay in SC close to family. God's hand is in that, for sure. I am sorry to hear about your son, Greg's passing. You both keep doing that - calling his name. After my son, Robbie passed people would say your son ,your middle child, the grandboys dad. They would describe him but not name him. So, I asked a friend why people were doing that. She explained that they were afraid I would go into a crying fit being reminded of his name so they say something about him instead of calling him his name. I put a stop to that. Yes, I cry. Yes, it hurts. Yes, I miss him horribly. BUT, Robbie was my child and he always will be. I find comfort (not crying so much) hearing his name and sharing with others what an amazing son he was. To not talk about him is to disrespect his memory, especially to his children. Greg is the same way. He was and is a precious gift from God. His memory continues to bless you and he continues to be a part of your family. Oh, how I hurt for you. However, it is true things settle down (I don't know when) but I have started that process - where my heart is not being ripped out everyday and he is now a part of me like never before - in my heart and mind. May God continue to bless you both. Congratulations on saving your nest egg. After losing so much of my family and dealing with my own medical problems it seems every dollar I get goes to repairs on my neglected house! You guys are a blessing to all who know you and are fortunate enough to call you friend!
