Any recommendations on how to do a split jump? I’ve got my split and a massive oversplit
@Verysanebsdfan4 жыл бұрын
Maybe try jumping into a split onto a bed, or a lowish squishy surface. That way it won’t hurt. Then get used to jumping and opening your legs. Then practice, at first jump and open your legs a little then snap them shut before you land. Keep practicing tell you can open them enough to do a split. I hope this helped, good luck and keep trying! :)

@@rileybishop6656 so my age has nothing to do with it and doesnt put me at a disadvantage? will i learn it just as easy or hard as people who are younger than me?
@rileybishop66564 жыл бұрын
@@monique3984 everyone is different and some people get things faster than others. It all depends on your body and mindset. There is this girl who started at 19 yrs and she had no other experience and she is very talented. You can do anything if you put your mind to it, just dont overwork your body! Also if you want to check out the girl i was talking about her channel is Lyds Vyds (shes 22 atm i think)
@brookiki4 жыл бұрын
It will be easier at 22 than at 32 (or 42, 52, etc) and there’s really nothing about your age that would make it impossible or dangerous to do these things. Make sure you’re conditioning your body (things like Pilates and yoga are good, but basic calisthenics are important, too). Learning tricks and moves is always fun, but attempting a move over and over again isn’t the most efficient way to build up strength or flexibility, especially since your form will suffer if you aren’t strong or flexible enough to do them properly and then you risk problems ranging from learning it incorrectly to injuring yourself). Beyond that, set aside daily time to work on it and make it a priority. If you start now, you’ll at least be able to do some of them in a year’s time. And even if you don’t learn all the moves, you’ll be stronger and healthier in the end, so it’s really win-win. But 22 is definitely not too old to learn moves like this. You likely won’t end up doing it professionally (though anything is possible), but you’ll have fun learning and you can be proud of yourself for accomplishing something a lot of people wouldn’t try.

Maybe it's different in dance, but a wolf jump is with your knees together the whole time. If your knees are apart it's called a hurdle (I'm a gymnast)
@dancedeja4 жыл бұрын
Your knees should be together for a clean wolf jump in gymnastics (back leg to behind, front leg 90 degrees) (think a pike but the back leg bent). When the legs are apart it is called a hurdler or herkie in cheerleading! In traditional exercise you perform hurdle jumps.
