Highly recommend if you're going to buy/ask for ice skates to NOT go for the cheaper ones! Ankle support is so, SO, SOOO important when you're skating and those cheap ones do not have adequate support! The boots break down quickly and then you end up having to throw them away! They also don't have great rockers and edges on the blades which you need to essentially move. Visit a shop and get fitted properly for your skates, have them heat baked, and keep up with sharpening the blades! Edea, Riedell and Jackson are some reputable brands. My skates are Riedell and I will probably cry when I have to buy new ones bc I love them so much 🥰
