Fun fact, RTGs are on the mars rover perseverance and also onboard Apollo 13. When the crew was forced back to earth, the rtg had to be ejected (it would have dispersed the plutonium into the air otherwise) and is probably at the bottom of a marine trench somewhere. It’s probably still warm even now!

Very nice video. Im a long time player of astroneer, but ive never completed it. Dont know why. But after this, definitely going back and going to figure out automation, auto farming, and auto bite farming as they were the most annoying of the necesseities to quick progression. Drilling with the truck was always annoying as i knew how it functioned, but never got the paver. The last time i stopped playing was after the rail quests and hated doing it. Thanks for taking the time to make this video, always glad when someone takes the time to actually show how great a game is in its entirety.

While the core unlocks, and is able to be activated with one gate powered. I have seen a few videos where they go back and power all gates on all planets to get a completion achievement. I just don't know if that achievement is still there or if the dev team removed it.

Yes, there is an acheivement for unlocking all gateway chambers

You do in fact have to activate every gateway on every planet for 100% the game, but you only need to activate one for the core to be functional

One thing I really love about this game is while mining you can sometimes just... Fall out of range of a tether and I mean "oh this is not good-" levels of falling out of range. And it quickly becomes a race against your oxygen, making the whole thing a surprisingly frightening experience

Really cool and really nice for a first video! The concept / idea was solid. You have a pleasant voice to hear talking over the gameplay. However it sometimes felt like you were a bit all over the place in your explaining and storytelling and the video looks like it was recorded / encoded at a very low bitrate. Correction: the planets have oxygen. You, however, cannot breathe it directly. This is why consumable oxygen filters can refill your air. They are not creating oxygen, they are simply making the extant oxygen breathable.

As someone who has 100% and 11 days in this game, I have a few tips. #1 is if you are making a power extender, when dragging the power cord, press the key bind for your shoulders with the power extender there. It is so much easier
