Many things going on here, I’m sure! One thing I see is, he takes normal life moments in which we would not normally laugh, but would more likely feel stress and anxiety- the credit card bill, checking the time, trying to start an engine- and practicing laughing, rather than stressing, in those situations. Amazing idea. I’m going to try it with things that stress my teen!

Leslie Ake you'd be surprised on the basic science of it, yep science, when you "rehearse " a laugh like they do, you brain can change a negative association to a positive one , and it changes the chemistry in your body, next time you feel triggered or stressed, try one of the techniques/laughter , it actually makes a diff in your state.

I got here from a video in which someone on a train (watching something amusing on their phone) causes many strangers to laugh by the end of the video for no reason. Laughter is infectious. Upon a google.. Laughter Yogi can involve structured chanting of "ho ho, ha ha" that requires a rhythmic muscular movement of the abdomen much like kapalabhati, or breath of fire. “The mind does not know that we’re faking it,” according to Laughter Yoga instructor Rani Gandham. “It thinks we’re happy and joyful.” Laughter Yoga may have beneficial effects to our mood and immune system, inc cardiovascular health, and according to Oxford University even pain thresholds, most likely due to the laughter rather than overall mood of the subject. The study suggested laughter produced an endorphin-mediated opiate effect, which could play an important role in social bonding.
