@Warfoki4 жыл бұрын
@Hernando Malinche Thing is, nobody expected back then that things would spiral out of control THAT badly. Most expected a short, decisive war. It's just that in the previous decades a series of co-dependent military alliances were made, which is turn kick off a domino effect and through everyone in Europe being someone else ally and rival, soon everyone was in on it. And by then, every nation was too deep into their propaganda and coffers to justify a peace treaty without some significant gains... which didn't happen for a long time, since trench warfare became the norm.

You miss one : 85. Hirohito (1901 - 1989), 124th Emperor of Japan, 63 years reigned.
@genericpersonx3334 жыл бұрын
It is debatable because the Monarchy of Japan is both constitutional and non-constitutional in nature. By tradition, the non-constitutional aspect, Hirohito was the Emperor, by virtue of direct lineage dating back to antiquity, from 1926 to 1989. However, Japan created some legal complications in 1868 when they added a layer of Constitutionalism with the Meiji Restoration. Technically, the Emperor assumed a new title, Emperor of the Empire of Japan, that had not legally existed before the Constitution of 1868. Internationally, it is this title that Hirohito assumed in 1926, not simply his title of Emperor as per Japanese tradition. Where it gets even more complicated is that in 1947, the Empire of Japan was formally dissolved, its constitution replaced by a new one, and so technically, the Emperor of the Empire of Japan ceased to be, because the state it represented ceased to be. Hirohito assumed a new title, Emperor of the State of Japan, which he held until 1989. Thus, if you count his monarchical title as Emperor per Japanese tradition only, he held that single title for 63 years. However, if you track his titles through the constitutional thrones he sat upon, he only held one title for 21 years and then another for 42 years. However, all that said, it can be argued that because of certain treaties made before the Meiji Restoration of 1868, foreign powers such as China, Britain, and Portugal had formally recognized the title of Emperor (as per Japanese tradition) as a legal entity, and therefore the Constitutional thrones are just legal constructs of little relevance. So Hirohito could be considered to have held three different titles of Emperor: one he held continuously between 1926 and 1989. Another he held only from 1926 to 1947. The last was only from 1947 to 1989. I can see why the channel declined to include him because lawyers just have to ruin everyone's fun.

While it is disputed as the list shows, No. 2 Taejo had supposedly lived 19 more years after his reign and died in year 165 instead of 146, dying at age 118. Funny story is, his brother was waiting for Taejo to pass away so he could take the reign (Taejo had no heir) but since Taejo wasn't dying, the brother, at age 75, rebelled and Taejo simply gave up his throne. They both died in the same year.
@페이크다이것들아 Жыл бұрын
Yep. That brother (Chadae) who overthrew Taejo, was then in turn overthrown by a court official (Myung Lim Dapbu) who made the third brother (Sindae) the next king. Sindae paid back the favor by making Myung the first ever prime minister of Koguryeo.

@@miftahazuhri2797 no bro what I said is according to Vedas. Just like what the book of Gilgamesh says. According to Vedas Ravana was alive before the great floods and even thousands of years after the floods. Their are only 2 timelines which match each others . That's the Vedic timeline and timeline of Kings in the Epic of Gilgamesh. Both start with Kings ruling about a lakh years and then end to normal human lifespan like 88 then 58 then 38 and so on. Those Kings who fall in this timeline of less than 100 years are accepted but those above 100 aren't because we humans of today think that humans weren't developed than us in the past. All Vimanas according to us are just fantasy all science behind them the aerodynamics all is fantasy. Most stories on google are made up so are all timelines because they think the world was created around 4004BC The oldest Hindu God was discovered not in India but in Italy that too 8000 years ago . The Fact Ravana is said to have fought about 36 Kings of the same dynasty. Now even if we say that one king ruled for about 25 years then 36×25 still makes it 900 years and it's believed all Kings then ruled for about 10000 years also Ravana was a demon and not a human so it may be possible for a demon to do something like that

Some historians in Korea assume that a former king of Taejo (2nd guy in the video) was eliminated in history. His exact birthday is not known although it is believed to be 873 BC and 753 BC. 794 BC, the lowest birthday he could be to be reigning would give him an age of exactly 64 years. Based on what we know about his reign, his birthday actually would have to be between 873 and 794 BC. The 59 years you got is from an estimate on the lower end. Probably the birthday estimate used was 790 BC.

90% of the cases are disputed or just kings under another monarch... Louis XIV's reign of 72 years is officially considered under records as the highest till date(I know ancient kings may have ruled longer than this)...Even Japanese claim Emperor koan ruled for 101 years and died at an age of 137..

No sohbuza II of Swaziland is actually verified at 82 years
@eshwart54634 жыл бұрын
@@wirelessbluestone5983 Yes it's verified but Swaziland was not independent till 1968... He's not absolute monarch till independence... He was just like a king under a king..
@anatoldenevers2373 жыл бұрын
@@wirelessbluestone5983 I know nothing about Emperor Koan but his claim is nonsense. The oldest(but not longest reigning) monarch I know of was Tezozomoc(1320-1426). A pre-colonial King in Mexico and an extraordinary man.

The emperor koan thing is false info, his lifespan is more understood to have been as long as 104-106, making his reign still highly possible

Louis XIX reigned over France in 1830 for less than 20 minutes, then resigned (more like, the 20 minutes is the time it took to make the resign official and sign the official document apparently). So there's way shorter than 2 days :p

A thing that should be pointed out is that the majority of these did not rule over a sovereign state. If you don't include those, then Louis XIV of France had the longest reign in history
