The old ones were painted in the 19th century so they’re over-romanticised. But old French kings look so attractive and intelligent in these 19th century paintings, but then you get to the actual real paintings of French kings and they are not so attractive.

Eh bien je peux t'affirmer que tu as une très bonne maîtrise de notre langage si difficile et plein de difficultés, je peux t'assurer que tu parles mieux ( à l'écrit en tout cas) que certains, si ce n'est beaucoup, le français. Bon, il y a quelques petites erreurs comme "l'histoire française et britannique *_a_* beaucoup de richesse" au lieu de "ont", mais sinon dans l'ensemble c'est très compréhensible. Courage!

Eh to each his own. Far as we know, the power structure before Napoleon was Pressuring the poor and shoving it in their faces. Then they rise up and become the same overpowering rule, and then Napoleon is released from that expulsion. He was a master and has the most battles one of all time. He even did not kill the King of Austro-Germany, only dethroned him during his reign.

Les tableaux sont d'une splendeur inouï, ces accessoires et photos, j'en ai les larmes aux yeux. Et dire que ces hommes de l'époque ont eu un courage hors pair pour accepter le sacre, le statut de dirigeants, généraux commandants avec leurs soldats au péril de leurs vies dans un monde de colonisation, de guerres, de révolutions et j'en passe . Rien que pour cela je leurs rend un grand hommage et je leurs dit combien je suis fière d'être française. Tout mes grands respects également à tout les rois, dirigeants du monde qui ont œuvré pour le bien et l'histoire.

After the barbaric invasions of the western roman empire, the eastern portion of the roman empire lived on until the fall of constantinople.

Fun Fact: Jean I of France was king right when he was born and monarchs usually end their reign by dying so Jean I was King of France his entire life but also had the shortest reign with only 5 days so he lived up to 5 days old sadly.
