I’m new to the game with only having 3 years of barbering experience but I’m not a huge fan of using my trimmers for the bald line. It’s much easier just using your clippers and then cleaning up with the trimmers. I just feel as though the trimmers leave a harsh line which makes it 5x more difficult to take out.

Mr. Outlined, I LOVE your channel, my dude!! But I gotta say that when you're sitting in that chair, those clippers have a "relaxing" effect. It's not that the client doesn't understand, he may just be in the process of falling asleep. Adjusting your client's is part of the process. So you may wanna stop complaining about it. Keep up the great work!!!

Honest question: Can you shed light into your lineup process? It appears your cutting style/preference is to “bend” (not sure if that’s the right word) the front lineup as it shapes towards where the corner meets the top of the vertical bars. You seem to always eventually curve/bend the front lineup-or line it up at an angle versus a straight line. Your lineups are always crisp and mostly even, but that style seems to be an unnecessary pushback. To me, this client seemed enough to line him straight across versus at an angle. I’ve never cut hair before so am I missing something? I love your craft and videos. 👊🏿
@garypotts64763 жыл бұрын
naw he just always just curve the front hairline.. i think it’s carelessness on his part.. i could be wrong.. he fucks up a lot to be cutting for that long.. imo..
@whatwhat90043 жыл бұрын
@Micah O’Neal: He didn’t push him back. The client has a shaggy hairline so he has excess hair that essentially overlaps his natural hairline. In particular after the barber sprays the mist and brushes the front hairs down you can see that even moreso.

I zero gap and sharpen all my trimmers. But let me say only the ones that I use for lineups. My balding trimmers that’s a different story. With my hitters, You just have to tap and go. You move around differently though. You use your trimmers like a pencil. You have a little bit of a heavier hand. But you’re right you somehow made that short ass line. I just knock out all the bulk with I lightly said trimmer. And then I go in with my hitters to tap and go.
@MrOutliner3 жыл бұрын
You’re right I am heavy handed. Lol someone else said I use my trimmers like a pencil. I don’t understand what that means tho
@bobbystillz2223 жыл бұрын
@@MrOutliner It looks like your drawing when you’re doing the lineup. Some people just tap and go. You actually look like you’re using the tip of the blade as if you’re holding a pen or pencil …like your drawing! I used to be heavy-handed. But I practiced on lightening up my touch. These trimmers are so sharp these days that I had to lighten up my hand. But whatever you do is working because you’re cuts are fire.
