$100 Mini Bike With a Predator 212!!!

Today, I picked up this Manco thunderbird,for 100 dollars from the guy that I got the free mini bike from back In August 2015.The carb was filthy,so I got it cleaned out and went for a ride.Would you guys be interested in minibike off-roading???

The tecumseh H35 that came on those was surprisingly strong. I couldn't believe how much better it ran than one of the new coleman 100cc units. I cant imagine how quick this little guy must be w a predator 212 on it..

Predator 212 is a monster, no regrets. Jet it, intake it and straight pipe it with 12t clutch, thing will dismount you with ease. $150 on Amazon, and it seems that Amazon sends the Hemi head versions.

They say the 6.5hp is nonsense, with removed governor it supposedly pushes 8hp stock out of the box.

Just picked one up yesterday for the same price and slightly rougher shape, also has a 212 on it, I am in need of the original gas tank, chain guard and decals, any idea for a source? have scoured ebay with no luck. I am gonna make it look fairly stock but with a few subtle but factory lookin cosmetic mods and then probably cam the 212 and all required mods to be able to spin it to 6500-7500ish. should be a fun little rig. Mine didn't have the rear shocks, just a solid bracket but its all there to simply add shocks with the solid bracket removed.

I have 212 I'm swapping engine and im just seeing how did u line up the engine with the sprocket and use regular bolt pattern what bolts did you use

Fuel filter looks like mud. Change the filter or AT LEAST backflush it. NICE MINI !

That's crazy I just had picked up a mini bike 2 or 3 weeks ago and the engine was from December 2014 and a hemi as well. P.s. I blew it up the day I got it so she's got a new 2017 212 on now .

I got the same bike/motor but it has been a money pit to get roadworthy. Did you or did it come with the motor plate reinforced? The chain wont stay on without it and the stock rear sprocket wont keep the front tire on the ground. Its fun for an adult but smaller riders cant stay on it for long. I put a 54t on mine and shes much tamer and the top end is faster than i care to go at 50yo. Other than those issues its a nice fast ass mini. Enjoy

Oh forgot to mention the scrub brakes....ish. I plan on doing a clutch band brake but until i do it a piece of old tire bolted on the scrub paddle is supposed to be a 100percent improvement.

Question. What size is the front tire. It looks like theirs any space. The bike I picked up has a 4.8x8 with a million spacers. Probably to spread fork out. Can you send me pics of your front end. Thanks Jimmy.

Hey sorry for hitting you up with so many questions. But I wanted to put air in rear tire only to realize air valve is behind sprocket. Is that normal. Do I have to remove rear wheel if I need to fill it with air????

what kind of minibike is this? i have one just like it i bought for 10 dollars. i litteraly got it off the truck it was being taken to the scrap yard. i cant see any name brand. the engine is frozen and has no seat. i have a new 420 predator i was thinking of installing on it. I also have an old style tractor seat that i can mount on it. big and wide for my big and wide butt....lol
