If you are referring to the longer rupee manip done in the 100% category, it's honestly pretty impractical and will probably be slower for most people than just repeating the one shown in this video multiple times. Not entirely sure if that is what you are referring to though.

Does this (and do all tricks) work on the switch versions?

To my knowledge, everything that does not involve playing on GBA mode (accessing the Advance Shop) should work fine. More advanced glitches such as ACE have not really been tested quite yet but manipulations such as the ones in this video are absolutely fine.
