@@BimleshPandey-jy1jh they do care about first gen if you told about your circumstances in your additional information section like what responsibility do you have in your family (tutor any younger sibling, manage any of your father business etc..) or any other problems you faced in your education such as your school offer limited resources for your academics and if you have any low marks throughout your 9 to 12, you can also talk about that erc. If you won't tell the problems you faced throughout your high school, then how they will know about the problems or responsibilities you have as a first gen. So yeah use additional information and embrace it to the fullest. All the best. 😃

Early action is like regular decision but you receive your offer earlier and you may have higher priority or chances getting in. Early decision however, is where you MUST attend and accept the college when and if you receive an offer (binding contract).

They're different, IB is like AP and Alevels.. SAT is a standardized test. Even AP students still take SAT most of the time

@@ilgazipekaygun2868 AP is just an advance placement test - it is used to get a college credit (basically you don’t have to do that course again in college). This saves cost, as well as showcase colleges that you are an academically high achieving student. It is in NO way same as taking a SAT or ACT. If a college requires SAT/ACT, then you have yo give it- pretty straightforward

You will give your predicted 12th grade scores and its okay that you got bad marks in 11th. Move on. Focus on your common app essay and show your personality and use storytelling technique in your common app as well as supplemental essays

Hello Medusa! What is the policy for students with gap years after undergraduate degree. How many justified gap years are acceptable. Say for students who spent years studying for government exams back in india UPSC, IAS ( with 0.01% success rate ) ? Would the gap years cause an impediment in the admissions for gradute / masters degree ?

I would say a maximum of 1-2 years gap, there should be considerable amount of internships or job experience that should be done in those 1-2 years otherwise it looks bad on your application profile

The aerospace program is really strong, but not very recommended for international students because most opportunities like internships, research projects, etc., require you to be a US citizen.
