In Beyond Oasis if you travel to the forest to the west of the castle. While following a winding path, there will be a single tree by itself. Stand on the backside of it for a few seconds. You'll be teleported to a 100 level dungeon. Every 10 levels you'll get a reward the final reward is the unbreakable omega sword. (Make sure you have ditto & efreet at least, but wouldbe best to have all 4 summons. They will come in handy. Ditto can heal you & be summoned by shooting your armlet at any slime enemy).

For Ghouls N Ghosts, you don't need to kill your Genesis to play the Japanese version, there's a code you can input for it to happen, google the code as I don't remember it offhand.

10:45 This minigame is based off of Sinistar by Williams Electronics. Oberon stands in for Sinistar here. 13:00 This is something of a region switch glitch. I'm not sure the specifics, but you basically corrupted the memory to trick the game into displaying its Japanese title instead of its international one. (This can be less dangerously demonstrated if you've installed a region switch mod on your Genesis/Mega Drive or you use an emulator.) 16:07 I've known about this one for a long time. (This works in the original NES version as well.) Another Mega Warp exists near the end of Turbo Tunnel; You need to deliberately run into the tenth wall past the final checkpoint, (the one where the bikes speed up even _FASTER_ and you're given no heads up to the walls!) Just know that using any of these warps will label you a cheater and you'll get called out by the Dark Queen _and_ Professor T. Hawk for not beating the game the "right way"! 18:01 Another RAM corruption glitch. You're _supposed_ to unlock Expert Mode by finishing the game in Advanced Mode first. Although this would be a faster, if not dangerous way to unlock it. (Especially if you've already beaten the game on Advanced Mode before!) 18:43 Ah, Get Blue Ba-- Spheres! One of my favorite classic Sonic easter eggs. Apparently, the reason for this was because they couldn't properly add Knuckles into Sonic 1 due to palette issues. I've never seen this screen appear in Sonic 2 or 3 since those games will properly launch into Knuckles in Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles respectively, but it will appear in almost any other Genesis game with the playable stage you get being based off the checksum of the game you inserted. Only Sonic 1 lets you play all of them. All 134,217,728 of them! Hope you love Blue Spheres! 22:05 The cow also exists in the sequel, Race Drivin'. The cow's nicer here as it can moo without disabling your engine sound! 23:10 Another corruption glitch, and an interesting one at that! From what I can tell, it's forcing your number of lives, (which you can normally set from 1 to 5 in the hidden Options screen accessed by pressing B+Start), to 0. Since Altered Beast is one of those games that count 1 as your last life instead of 0, dying here causes an underflow that gives you 255 lives. Technically not infinite, but you'd have to be playing pretty poorly to burn through that many in one game! 27:42 Another favorite of mine! The Japanese version has the Arwing buried within it. Apparently, Kazuhiko Ishida was a Star Fox fan. 28:41 This is the same as with The Revenge of Shinobi/ The Super Shinobi. It actually wasn't too uncommon for Genesis/Mega Drive games to have both the Japanese and International version on the same cartridge! 34:17 Yay for corruption glitches! The intended way in MERCS to access the Level Select screen is to have a controller plugged in port 2 and on it hold A+B+C+↙ on the SEGA screen until the title screen appears. The invincibility code works here as well. It also gives you unlimited time! 40:30 This one is actually doing TWO things. First, it's glitching your (difficulty) level, stamina, and web cartridges to invalid values. How it affects difficulty, I don't know, but the infinite life and web is obvious. As for the (!!!) appearing, that's because it also activated cheat mode, which is normally activated by holding Start on P2, and A+B+C+↗ on P1. While enabled and in a pused game, A maxes your web, B maxes your health, C makes you invincible for a few seconds (lame), and A+B+C skips the stage! 46:46 Without this trick, this cheat code will only allow you to continue up to the last chapter you played, make it more of a continue cheat than a level select one. 52:36 This one's similar to the Altered Beast cart swap, it's setting your number of lives to one that can't normally be selected. It's not unlimited, (your lives counter still changes), but it's probably to be unlikely to game over with. Even with these errors, I still enjoyed the video!

@@RetroSunday Well, considering RD has the original track from HD in addition to the road and super stunt tracks, I'd expect the cow to return. I think the cow also appears in the super stunt track as well since it reuses some buildings for decorations, (likely to save some space.)

The Super Shinobi glitch is likely because the game thinks it's being played on a Japanese console. You could probably get the same result by playing it on a Japanese console or a console that has been modded to the Japanese region. Same thing for Ghouls 'n Ghosts. For Mortal Kombat, it's not Jade, it's just a bug in the game code. You could probably get other glitch characters if they were the second opponent in the Pit endurance match. You can get Blue Spheres by plugging in any Genesis game into Sonic & Knuckles. Supposedly, Sonic 1 gives you the full version of Blue Spheres. Knuckles in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles aren't Easter Eggs as they were advertised features of Sonic & Knuckles.

I like the video, but I have a suggestion to make it more enjoyable (too late for this one, but take it as feedback for future videos, if you like). Try to always *match* the audio with the images. It feels off, to hear your directions too much before, or after they already happened in the video.

18:42 - Yeah. As a huge fan of Sonic series that was my personal pain. Playing Sonic-3 I've noticed alot of places blocked by rocks that Knuckles could destroy and pass through! But there was no way to play Knuckles in Sonic-3 and there were no cheats to do so. And then I suddenly found a record in some game journal. I was told there that I can open cartridge cell of Sonic and Knuckles game to find there a plug where I can insert any previous Sonic games. So I did... But because those times there were just NO licensed games in my country and all cartridges were illegal made by pirates... there was no plug there. And not a single one was found in any of my friends cartridges... Luckily a decades later Internet, ROMs and emulators came in to our lives. So I finally was able to play this "Sonic 3 and Knuckles" game (with Hyper Sonic, Hyper Knuckles and Super Tails there).

Is it just me or the final script did not get QA reviewed? Voice off discarded comments and repetitive takes are all over the place. Moreover, there are fragments where you could see the YoutuBe bar showing those clips are from KZbin and other channels. If so, you need to credit the original author by placing a sticker on the timestamp or mentioning on the credits.

The real Easter eggs is actually seeing the ending of each games due to them being tougher as each stage gets more difficult. 😆 Great video bruh. Some of these I didn't know about even after playing them. Sonic only at that beach due to it's actually the same beach from "Sonic the movie". Just wait until Tails pop up and tells him about the things he will say in the film.

I don't think I need to tell you you need to work on your editing. That being said, thank you for chronicaling a lot of awesome info that could be lost to history without the efforts of people like you. A lot of stuff I didn't know here. There's a secret around test in Motal Kombat as well (I forget if you mentioned it. IfbI recall, go the the sound effect select and press all the way to the right for the last selection. Then jam away on the c button and right like a madman. You'll know it worked when you suddenly stop hearing sounds effects and then have to wait through a couple of minutes of silence before it begins. I accidently discovered this around the time the game was released and for years friends didn't believe my discovery existed. I kept it a secret for years, only recently seeing some other people discovered it. I guess I should piped up to have some bragging right, but obviously this was way before sites like cheatcc.

Hello! With all due respect: glitches are NOT easter eggs. For instance: changing Sonic's colour, the Ghouls 'n' Ghosts' ladder or the MK "green Sonya". It may be cool, but these aren't easter eggs. They're the result of a glitch, not an intentional secret (you even kinda pointed out a difference when you questioned if the Ghouls 'n' Ghosts' ladder glitch was something that they forgot to remove). If glitches were easter eggs, then Cyberpunk 2077 was perfect as it was when released - what a game full of easter eggs! (Well, to be honest, I loved Cyberpunk as it was with the first couple of patches - an amazing comedy game! It really made me laugh hard plenty of times) Same for cheat codes and/or major secrets. There's a difference between them. Easter eggs are smaller secrets, references and so on left by those who worked on the game that don't affect the game at all. Sometimes they're easy to find, sometimes they're very well hidden. Nevertheless, they don't have an impact on the game like a cheat code, and definitely aren't something left behind for whatever reason, mainly irresponsibility (I mean... there are plenty of glitches out there which are easy to find and replicate. Why weren't they found and/or corrected when the game was being tested, then? Seriously.), and which even can cause a game to break, erase a save file, etc.
