You keep pointing to passes that are extremely tough passes. Just because someone is slightly open doesnt mean it's better than taking a tough shot. A tough pass vs a tough shot, I'd prefer the tough shot. Even if you get the tough pass correct there's no guarantee that player will make their shot. Especially since most of these examples would have to be first touch shots at full sprint from both the passer and shooter.
