100 SUPER POWER MAN in Rimworld

What happens when you give a single pawn every single super power and super weakness in existence? A Thomas-the-Train tank engine that plows through everyone while also being the most vile, incompetent stooge that ever walked the realm of the living. Laser vision with a paralyzed spine. Bulletproof skin coupled with the worst immune system in the world. And the ability to become the Doomslayer at the cost of occasionally turning into a harmless turtle.
Fun fact. The mod I used is hard coded to PREVENT me from doing this, but by changing a 1 to 1000 in the code, we somehow got past that.

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW I DID THIS!
Instructions are below, but first a warning. By doing this, my game was not so cooperative and there were many issues, as the mod was not designed for this to be even possible. Any changes you make to the source code of a mod could break your game and force you to uninstall and reinstall Rimworld should something go very awry.
Steps:
1. Use the following file address to access the Vanilla Ancients Expanded folder for generating pawns called PawnKindDefs_Humanlikes:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\2654846754\1.3\Defs\PawnKindDefs_Humanlikes
2. Open the PawnKinds_Player document. I opened it in Notepad, so that's what I'll be explaining
3. Scroll to the bottom of the document and find "numRandomSuperpowers" and "numRandomWeaknesses"
4. Next to each of these, there should be the number "1" by default. This setting represents how many random superpowers a player pawn has by default when starting a new game using the Ancient Vault scenario. For example, a 1 gives a pawn 1 random superpower to start. A 5 should give them 5 random super powers. Change this to how many random powers and weaknesses you want, HOWEVER, when selecting a random superpower, the game will inevitably have a high chance to select a superpower it has already given a pawn, thus doing nothing. I got around this by using a ridiculously high number for the amount of super powers and weaknesses a pawn has. Personally, I set the number to 1000 to give myself a good enough chance of having every single super power and weakness. DOUBLE HOWEVER, this will cause loading player pawns at the start of the game to take a VERY LONG TIME. There's probably a more efficient way to do this, but I'm not a coder, so I used this lazy workaround.
5. Save the text doc and run Rimworld. If your game is already running, you'll need to restart it.
6. When you no longer want this setting to exist in your game, simply do all these instructions again but change the numbers back to "1'. This should bring everything back to normal.

Someone who is already beyond powerful, but as they story progresses they gradually remove the weaknesses that crippled them so they begin using their powers up to their full capacity

I had a colonist with zealot but she didn't need food. So I locked her in her room whenever I took prisoners, where she had nothing to do except recreation, because I had built stuff in there so she wouldn't go insane, and then I'd let her out to fight raiders and go caravanning. I had a guy with ressurection ability, so he can take as many failure with the pod as I want. If he receives brain damage, I'll simply chop the damaged head off. Unfortunately this caused a bug and he can't use any ability at all

@@blacktemplar3759 First, back up your copy of the Vanilla Factions Expanded Ancients mod (copy them in another folder). Then, make a local copy (copy it, paste it in the local mods folder, for me it's in C:\Program Files (×86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RimWorld\Mods, that's my installation path, yours might be different, but it's still the same folders). Put the local copy in your mod list. Now time to edit the copy. Keep in mind that I'm only an entry-level modder (I just edited the unit files in Rome Total War and Medieval Total War to buff, nerf or balance units), and I haven't done this to any RimWorld mod so far. I only know a bit of basic stuff, but I'm willing to share with you. The VFE Ancients mod can be found in whatever drive you installed Steam onto. For me, it's on the C drive. So, go to the Steam folder, then it's steamapps -> workshop -> content -> 294100. And in the 294100 folder, you've got a bunch of folders named with number strings. Those are your mod folders. For me, at least, the mod folder called 2654846754 is Vanilla Factions Expanded Ancients. Click on that one. You'll see a bunch of folders, including a README file. You're gonna want the folder 1.3, in there go into the folder Defs. That one has all the definitions for all sorts of stuff that the mod works with. Those .xml files can be opened and edited with Notepad (select the file, right click, Open With, and pick Notepad from the drop down menu). Before you do it, make a folder for back-ups on your desktop, copy that file into the back-up folder. ALWAYS BACK UP FILES BEFORE STARTING TO MODIFY THEM. That way, if you screw something up, you can delete the messed up file, and replace it with a copy of the back-up, just make sure to rename it just like the original, and to remove the damaged original from there. From here on out, you're gonna have to exercise your brain. What you're looking for in those .xml files is lines of text (code, really) that define the maximum number of powers and weaknesses which a colonist can have. If the max is 5 of each, change it to the maximum number, or whatever number greater than 5 you want, just don't exceed the total number of superpowers available in the mod, or you'll have mod breaking errors. Read the pieces of code that interest you carefully to understand what it is you're changing and what it's going to do to your copy of the mod. Always back up your initial files, always restore from back-up if you screw something up. If it's screwed up beyond repair, you will have at least learned something. And you can always just unsub from the mod, delete it from your mod folder, and re-sub to it on Steam to download it back again. Happy Modding, and Good Luck!
