I think those Norwegian teenagers were quite good and quite polite, too. I like the Sandman's attitude, though. Keep it up, dude, this is how you will grow your gym: you show a high level of both humbleness and skills (about one of these days one of these "pubescent" teens catching you during a moment of lack of concentration, on your part... because you start off given so much advantage to them, as incentive for playing your game). You also have KZbin "vibes" as you called them... so again your business/gym will grow rapidly after a while...

When you shook hands and he said, “You’re a good jiu jitsu man, you ain’t gotta say nothing” that was the best representation of our BJJ culture. Aw good stuff with the champion from Norway! -and the Dad as well! (Shout out to Norway, too beautiful country - and lol the best water next to Jamaica btw that I've tasted.) But 17 year old kid. He thought he was going to show you up for real at first. He did a GREAT job overall and looked super STRONG from the get-go. It says a lot that you can go with a 17 year old tbh as obviously they have most mobility I think and freshest muscles. high five from the East coast. (btw - I am a wmn with no experience in Jujitsu)

The biggest thing I've learned in my short time of BJJ is that I naturally will put my weight onto my knees/elbows on the mat. The first time I drilled with a blue or higher belt, I instantly realized they put their weight on you, not the mat. Which makes sense, but the first time you feel it, it's like "man I swear that guy weighed 400lbs" lol
