I do 110 for 10 reps at the gym, so my strict would end after curling the 115. No way I'm trying the 165, that's 35 less than my bench lol. The SFX in this video were hilarious!

Interesting, the jump is highest for the last jump, in terms of weight, but the money-gain goes from going $40 up to only $30 up. So no wonder people didn't go for it. Should've put $150 on the last level to tempt them :D

That 50 pound jump seems brutal I know i can strict curl a plate for 10 on the easy bar strict not sure about 165 . Edit tried it could barely get 155 165 was not happening.
@Sisyphus3172 жыл бұрын
Maybe try doing 5x5 at 135 for a month? That might break you through to get 165. 💪💪
@coen0719932 жыл бұрын
I don't know how he says it is crazy people do the 115 easy and then don't get anywhere with the 165... 115 to 165 is almost a 45% increase. You would have to be able to do roughly 12 reps with 115 to make 165. If you can do 5, you will make 1 rep look fairly easy. The weight jump is like benching 225 and then jumping to 320.

This was really fun, but that highest weight for men is pretty tough. It's always funny with strict curl, where even small jumps can be completely impossible when you get to your limit. Like my final set for strict curls are 3 sets of 2 for 105 pounds, but if I tried 115 I'm not sure I'd be able to do it.
@arf68992 жыл бұрын

Anyone who actually follows strict curling knows the record is really still Denis Cyplenkov's. Too much variation allowed in strict curling and the way Leroy curled and the bar used was technically easier then the setup back when Denis did it.
@francisdaoust58622 жыл бұрын
Exactly, Denis made the record with this type of bar, the new record of 251lbs was made with a more pronate grip .
